Selene’s POV
The moment I walked into the academy the next day, I could sense it—the quiet hostility, the eyes following my every move. I glanced around and spotted Elara watching me from across the courtyard, a smug, satisfied look on her face. But I didn’t let it bother me. Her tricks had become child's play, and I had no intention of giving her the reaction she craved.
When I got to my first class, I found glue smeared across my chair, glistening under the light. I almost laughed. This was what she came up with? I grabbed a tissue, calmly wiping it off without a word. I caught the giggles from the back of the room, but I didn’t even glance in their direction. I’d let them have their fun. It was almost amusing how much effort they were putting into something so childish. I took my seat, not giving Elara the satisfaction of a second thought.
