Celebration and Heartbreak
Anna's face contorted in shock. "But I broke up with Alex for you," she pleaded.
Alex appeared, his voice laced with disgust. "You're breaking up with me for him? After everything I did for you?"
Anna stuttered, "It's not what it looks like."
Alex cut her off. "No more excuses, Anna. It's over."
I intervened, my tone firm. "You're trying to date two guys at once? That's shameful."
Anna snapped, "You're to blame for this, Amy."
Liam stepped in. "Let's go celebrate with the team. We deserve it."
We left Anna seething and joined our teammates.
"Great job, everyone!" Coach exclaimed. "Now, get changed for Homecoming tonight."
The excitement was palpable.
At home, Dad beamed with pride. "You did it, kiddo."
That evening, the girls gathered in my room, buzzing with anticipation.
"Wow, Emily, Henry's eyes will pop out," Nicole teased.
Stella emerged in a dazzling white dress. "You look like Cinderella."
Nora wore a stunning cream dress.
I slipped into my blue gown, feeling confident.
Liam's eyes widened. "You're breathtaking, Amy."
As we headed to Homecoming, the night promised romance, drama, and surprises.
To be continued...
