When he noticed the talent, the mid-aged man was disappointed at first, but his gaze quickly shifted to her physique. Stunned, he loudly shouted, "Spirit Grade Physique!"

The crowd erupted in excitement as the words echoed through the gathering.

"Spirit Grade Physique! That's comparable to a B-grade talent!" someone exclaimed.

"How can a Spirit Grade Physique even be compared to normal talents? It's like transcending the mortal boundaries!" another added, the voices blending together into a cacophony of astonishment.

"It's like she's descended from heaven," whispered one more in awe.

Melina stood there, thinking, "I don't have a devour talent, so what was that? Nor do I have any special talent." Then her gaze fell on the locket she was wearing, and she thought, "Don't tell me there's an old spirit in this locket." She sighed, "Leaving that aside for now, it only means one thing: that guy's blood is special."

With her eyes closed and arms crossed, she mulled over the situation. The mid-aged man, noticing her deep in thought, hesitated before speaking, "Ah, you…"

Melina opened her eyes, gave the man a brief look, and then, without saying a word, hurriedly walked down from the platform.

The guy with B-grade talent, Lucian Valtier, stepped forward before the representatives could say anything. Despite the fact that a junior had interrupted their work, the representatives did not seem angered. They simply waited. With a smile, Lucian said, "A beauty such as you must not be from this city. May I have the honor of knowing your name?"

Melina glanced at Lucian, who was wearing an ugly smile, and thought to herself, "Mnn, if this were a novel, this guy would be dead within the next 10 chapters." Her expression turned cold as she replied, "You don't need to know my name."

Lucian's smile faded, and his frown deepened. With a more serious tone, he said, "Lady, you must not know who I am. I am Lucian Valtier, from the Valtier Family."

Melina's cold gaze didn't waver, but inside, she was bursting with excitement, "Hoooo, is he going to threaten me? Then I can say 'Thirty years in the East, Thirty years in the West, don't bully the young lady!' Though, that line might be a bit off..."

Lucian's frown grew even deeper as she remained silent, unfazed by his name. As the Valtier Family's young master, he was used to being respected, especially by girls from common families. In his mind, she should have been bowing to him, but instead, she was defying him openly.

In the sky, the headmaster of Rising Academy stood on his sword, observing everything unfold. He was surprised to see another talent emerging from a commoner, especially after already witnessing Alexander's B-grade talent. A Spirit Grade Physique, even rarer than B-grade talent, had appeared. He muttered to himself, "Should I recruit the girl too? But it would be embarrassing to go down again right after acting like an expert." He remained in deep thought, his eyes still on the scene below.

Alexander, standing idly, watched the interaction with boredom. His thoughts drifted, "I should run. I have a feeling this will somehow involve me." As he turned to walk away, he suddenly felt a hand grab his arm.

Alexander looked down at Melina, who was clinging to his arm with an exaggeratedly cute expression. She batted her eyes and, with a sweet yet mocking tone, said, "Darling, look! That ugly guy is bullying me." She pointed toward Lucian, whose face had twisted with anger at the sight.

The crowd around them buzzed with excitement, and Alexander could hear the murmurs. "Look, that fairy-like girl is actually his girlfriend!" someone exclaimed. A few girls even wailed, "No way! My husband has been seduced by that witch!"

Alexander's mouth twitched, and for the first time in a while, even he, with his usual calm demeanor, felt that this situation was becoming an irritating mess. He sighed inwardly, thinking, "This is going to be such a headache."

A while ago, when Alexander was contemplating his escape, Melina's excitement had simmered down. She glanced at Lucian, thinking, "This guy is such a creep, I have to do something."

Then, as she noticed Alexander starting to turn away, seemingly preparing to leave, she smirked. Her eyes flicked back to Lucian, and with a bold gesture, she flipped him off, showing her middle finger. "What's with that look, creep?" she said sharply. "Just standing near a bastard like you makes me feel harassed. I'll let my boyfriend deal with you."

Without giving him time to respond, she ran over and grabbed Alexander's arm, pulling him into her dramatic act.

Presently, Alexander regarded Lucian, who was not truly ugly—he had striking blue hair and a refined appearance. However, compared to Alexander, he felt inferior. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Alexander regained his composure and casually remarked, "You should stop looking at me like that, or I might just dig those eyes out."

Lucian's anger flared at Alexander's boldness. "You fool! Do you know who you're talking to? A word from me, and your whole family will be slaughtered!" he spat, his voice dripping with menace.

Hearing Lucian's threatening words, Alexander merely smiled slightly and replied, "Sure, go ahead."

Lucian's anger peaked as he shouted to the guards behind him, "You fools! What are you standing there for? Go kill that guy!"

The crowd buzzed with excitement at the unfolding drama. Whispers circulated among them, comments like, "This guy is really fearless!" and "Damn, is this love even ready to fight to the death?"

Meanwhile, Melina, the cause of all this commotion, looked at Alexander with tears in the corners of her eyes and said cutely, "So manly!"

The guards behind Lucian hesitated, their eyes flickering nervously. One of them finally spoke up, "Youn... Young Master, he is someone whom the headmaster of Rising Academy personally invited…"

Lucian, fuming with anger, snapped back, "Shut up! He is just a commoner with a bit of talent. There's no way he can compare to me! Kill him, or I'll kill you first!"

With that, the guards, all at the 9th stage of Body Tempering, charged at Alexander, determination written on their faces.
