Prologue

(On the moon looking to the earth)

"It is a known universal truth," a disembodied voice spoke as the earth rotates from the point of view on the moon, "The ones known as Isaac Newton and Hank Pym had both said it best, "With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

The voice continues to monologue while a tall shadow walks forward to the earth, as if trying to get a better view.

"Not too long ago, an event had occurred, one referred to as M-Day, the day that mutants were nearly rendered extinct. The cause was but a simple whisper of one single mutant, the one known as the Scarlet Witch. On that day, the natural balance of all reality was disrupted. And now the universe itself has sent a bird of fire to restore the balance. However..." the voice pauses.

The light from the sun then flashes from the right side of the earth, as if fire is surging out.

...it is not the only purpose that it has this day."

Light shines on the figure that reveal his white eyes with no pupils pointing towards the earth, he stands straight and tall, unnaturally tall, close to fifteen feet. No hair on his rather large head and is wearing a long white toga with a blue cloth wrapped around. The finishing touch is his blue cape that includes a high collar.

"I am Uatu, known as the Watcher." The being said he turns around, his back to the earth, "It is my sworn duty to witness and observe potentially critical moments of any and all races across the galaxies, known or unknown, and to never interfere." He turns back to look at the earth and continues, "On this occasion the race known as mutants will be saved and restored. But", he closes his eyes and lowers his head, "we will also learn the true purpose behind a certain deal with the devil."
