Chapter 3: A New Team Member Added To Team 7!
*Two days later*
Writer's pov: *Anna wakes up when the alarm clock rings. She washes up and put on her ninja outfit. She ties her headband on top of her head.*
Anna's pov : This is it, the day has come Anna. No turning back. I know in my heart that i'll choose right.
*She goes downstairs to meet kakashi preparing breakfast *
Kakashi: Good morning Anna. (Smiles at her)
Anna: Good morning, kakashi sensei. *Giggles *
Kakashi:Hm, come quickly eat breakfast and let's go to Lord Hokage's.
Anna: Right.
*They finish eating and head out . Anna and kakashi are walking together. Kakashi is reading the book of icha-icha series.
Anna: Are you still reading that book?
When are you ever going to stop?
Kakashi: Huh? Apparently never. This is one of the best books published.
Anna: *sweatdropped* Yeah, all about love, isn't it?
Kakashi: *Chuckles nervously*
Anna: *sighs*
*Someone is following them from behind. Anna quickly notices it and stops on her tracks*
Anna: That's not gonna fool me, come out... KONOHAMARU.
Konohamaru: Wow, you've improved Anna. You saw right through my disguise.
Anna: Of course, I would. I'm not the same old Anna who used to fall for your tricks. I'm on the step of becoming a Jonin. *Smiles happily *
Konohamaru: Yeah, but not a full time jonin. You have to choose a team to continue your training.
Anna: *chuckles nervously while scratching the back of her head * yeah, just you saying it is making me kind of nervous again. Wait, how did you know about the program?
Konohamaru: Uh, i have my ways *chuckles nervously*
Anna: Uh- hunh, like spying? *raising an eyebrow*
Kakashi: Hey Anna, what's the hold-up?
Konohamaru: Good morning, kakashi sensei.
Kakashi: Good morning, Konohamaru eh, sorry to interupt your chat, but we have to get to Lord Hokage's.
Konohamaru: No problem, i was heading to meet Moegi and Udon.
Anna: *kneels down to hug him* I'll see you soon, little fella.
Konohamaru: *blushes and hugs her back *
Anna: Be good and no running into mischief, alright?
Konohamaru: I won't, thanks Anna.*runs off*
Kakashi: Alright Anna, let's go.
Anna: Ok.*Her pov: This is it*
*They enter the Hokage 's office. Other jonins are there with Lord third looking at a crystal ball.*
Kakash & Anna: Good morning, Lord third * while bowing *
Third Hokage: Good morning, you two. You're just in time.
*Kakashi and Anna walk towards the hokage's crystal ball.*
(The crystal ball shows sakura and ino fighting over who got to class first, then Sakura runs pushing Naruto away and fangirls over a boy with onyx eyes.)
Anna: *looks at Naruto* Naruto....
Third Hokage: It seems that Naruto is the class clown.
*The girls start arguing over sitting next to Sasuke, Naruto gets in front of him and they both glare at each other. The girls tell Naruto to stop glaring at Sasuke. A boy mistakenly pushes Naruto from his back thereby leads to KISSING??!!!!!
*Sakura faints, the boys start gagging and the girls give Naruto a death glare. Sakura clenches her fists and start beating him up. Other girls joined in beating him.
Anna: (laughs silently then stops) looks like Naruto's got a new "girlfriend ".
Third Hokage: Seems like Naruto is in trouble, as always. Anna, you're up.
Anna: Yes, Lord third *does a hand sign, disappears and appears in front of the ninja academy. She takes a deep breath and goes in*
*Iruka is congratulating the students on becoming genins and puts them on squads. After he announces the last squad, he tells them that they would meet their jonin leaders after lunch break.*
Iruka: After lunch break, you will all meet your jonin leaders.
Students: Yes, sir!
Iruka: Oh and also, before you guys go, there's something i want to tell you. The third hokage has assigned an extra teammate on a squad. She is about your ages and she is going to pick a team now.
Students: *whispering* huh? Some:I wonder who it is.
Iruka: Come on in, Anna.
*Writer's pov: students look up to the door which Anna slowly opens. She opens it to meet everyone's eyes. Some students: wow, she's beautiful. *
Naruto&Sakura Wow. Sakura: I hope she picks our team.
Writer's pov: *Sasuke looks from the window and blushed when he saw Anna.*
Kiba: Woah! She's pretty. I hope she picks our team, Akamaru.
Akamaru:*barks*.
Writer's pov: *she walks down the class to the board where iruka is standing.*
Anna: Good morning, Iruka sensei. *bows*
Iruka: Good morning Anna. Would you like to introduce yourself to the class?
Anna: Hm *nods affirmatively* Hello everyone, i'm Anna Hatake. I'm twelve years old like some of you are and... i'm a jonin.
Students: WHAT??!!!
Shikamaru: Uhh, excuse me, i want to ask; how are you a jonin? You're like us, I mean we're genin and you're already a jonin?!
Anna: *scratches her back head while talking * well, I'm not exactly a full time jonin, I'm a part time jonin. I've been ordered by Lord Hokage to continue my training in becoming a full time jonin by choosing a team from the academy so that I can be able to have full experience and here i am.
Shikamaru: Oh great, this is such a drag....
Anna: I'm going to look into your previous databases on the scores in your last exams, everyone. Iruka sensei, may I have the scores of everyone in the class, please?
Iruka: Yes of course.
Writer's pov: Lord third and the rest of the jonins are looking at the crystal ball.
Third Hokage: She is indeed doing the necessary requirements. Good job Anna.
Writer's pov: *Meanwhile, Anna looks at the chart and everyone's faces and names. She stumbles across sasuke's face and scores; then looks at him. She catches him staring at her. He looks away blushing.
Anna: *silently* Sasuke Uchiha, hm. *looks at Naruto's scores* She is thinking of which team to choose when...
Ino: Excuse me, Anna?
Anna: Yes, ino?
Ino: You know me?
Anna:Yeah, from the yamanaka clan.
Ino: Yeah well, i have a suggestion and an advice for you.
*Anna holds the chart on her right hand and she puts it by her right waist.*
Anna: Sure, what is it?
Ino: If you want to choose a team, I suggest that you don't choose team 7.
*Team 7 & the class gasp*: huh?
Anna: *raises an eyebrow* Why's that?
Ino: As you're fully aware, Naruto's on that team. Naruto isn't making any progress in his studies. If you choose team 7 with Naruto in it will eventually slow you down. You would always have to help him at every point in time therefore, slowing down your program of becoming a full time jonin. Apart from miss forehead here and sasuke on the team, you would have a better chance but since Naruto's on it, it won't exactly be for you.
*students laughs*
Naruto: *feeling ashamed *: I..... I (closes his eyes)
Anna:*clenches the chart on her right hand. Looking seriously then breathes in and out. She smirks while talking * Ino, what value have you added in Naruto's life?
Ino: Huh?
Anna: I'll ask again; what value have you added in Naruto's life?
Naruto: *looks wide-eyed and opens his mouth * huh?
Ino: Um, i don't know. *already frustrated * what do you mean "value"?!
Anna: Exactly, you're action says it all; NOTHING!!!
*The whole class gasps including sasuke.*
Anna: This word goes to all of you not only ino.
NB: *imagine the song when Iruka gave Naruto his headband*
Anna: I'm sure you're all wondering what i meant by value, huh? What i mean to say is; how many of you have rendered help to Naruto and can boastly say; "i helped him in becoming a better ninja? No one.
None of you even thought about that. You all haven't passed in one thing and that is becoming a helping hand in class. I'm sure iruka sensei must have taught you all this.
*All the students look down, feeling guilty for what Anna is accusing them of - including sasuke *
Anna: If you'd all helped Naruto in perfecting his justu, he wouldn't be in this situation. You all had lunch breaks, snack breaks, recesses but instead of you to walk up to him and offer him help in all his weaknesses and jutsus, you would all just gang up in one corner to make fun and laugh at him because of one mistake he made. All of you have weaknesses, i know, but that's why you're in a class..... to help each other. Each one have weaknesses and the other; strength. If one person is having trouble, you lend him or her a helping hand. Where i am today even though becoming a part time jonin is because of somebody, someone and other friends believing in me, training me all the way to this point, i didn't do it all by myself, ya know?
Naruto's pov: *She just said my catch phrase*
*looking at the crystal ball, kakashi and the others are moved by Anna's words *
Kakashi: Anna...
Anna: You all know what i thought about? I was eventually planning on choosing team 7 to become a member and because of this talk, ino, I thank you for motivating me into being in the team even more.* the students all gasp, ino looks shocked*
Anna: I therefore choose and decide to be a member of team 7, alongside Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. Then, I'll be able to pick up from what you guys should have started. Oh and Ino, *Ino looks at her* I have an advice for you. Instead of butting into matters that don't concern you, I suggest that you improve on your skills and jutsu in making your team better, Got it?!
Ino: *gasps and grumbles *
Anna: What do you wanna say?*giving her a death glare *
Ino: *whoa, she's scary* Uh, nothing.
Anna: Here, Iruka sensei *giving him the chart*
Iruka: Thank you, Anna. You sure have motivated everyone into seeing the truth. Am I right, class? Students: Yes, sir.
Anna: *bows down* my pleasure, Iruka sensei. See ya. * she walks up to the class, gets to Naruto's seat and looks at them. They look back at her and she smiles at them. She walks to the door and opens it to leave.*
Sasuke's pov: *She's so fierce and determined.*
Naruto's pov: *that smile, could she be.....? Runs after her*
Naruto: Hey Anna!! Wait up!!!
*Anna stops on her tracks in the hallway and looks at him*
Naruto: It's you, isn't it? We met when we were eight years old.
Anna: So you finally remembered me, huh Naruto?
Naruto:*grins at her * That day, you promised me that we'll meet again and you will help me in achieving my dream anyhow you can.
*flashback four years ago, Anna saves him from a group of bullies*
Anna: Really?
Naruto: Yeah, and now you don't have to save me anymore *holds his fists from his face*
Anna: Huh?
Naruto: Because I'm going to become Hokage, then I'll be able to repay you for saving me and I'll save you next time we meet again.
Anna: And i'll help you achieve your dream any way I can.
*Someone calls her in a far distance * Anna!! Time to go!!
*She jumps down from the swing*
Anna: We'll meet again, Naruto. *waves at him while running*
Naruto:Yeah, see ya!!!
*present time*
Anna: Yeah, and right now, I'm keeping that promise.
Naruto: Thanks for you know, standing up for me in class.
Anna: *turns to walk away then stops, turns her face to look at Naruto's face* I look forward to being on the same team with you, Naruto. *smiles at him and walks away.*
Writer's pov: She looks up to the ceiling knowing Lord third and the rest of the jonin were watching her then smiled.
Third Hokage: It seems Anna has passed her first step to becoming a jonin.
Kakashi pov:* it looks like you "are" on my team, Anna because you chose to follow your heart.*smiles through his mask*
