Chapter 6: Journey To The Land Of Waves!

Sasuke: Sasuke, I'm in Point B.

Sakura: Sakura, Point C.

Anna: Anna, Point D.

*After a while...*

Naruto: Naruto, I'm at point A, believe it!

Kakashi: Too slow, Naruto. Ok, squad 7... hm.... The target has moved!!!! Follow it!!!

Naruto: Over there!

Kakashi: What's your distance from the target?

Naruto: Five meters, I'm ready just give the signal.

Anna: I'm also ready.

Sasuke: I'm ready too.

Sakura: So am I.

Kakashi: Ok, NOW!!

*They all charged for it and Naruto catches it.*

Naruto: I got him, I got him!! *It starts scratching his face.*

Kakashi: Do you verify a ribbon on its right ear? *Naruto screams while the cat scratches his face.*

Sasuke: Affirmative, we got a positive I.D.

Kakashi: Right, lost pet Tora captured, mission accomplished.

Naruto: CAN'T WE GET A BETTER MISSION THAN THIS?!!! I HATE CATS!!

Sakura: You idiot, stop screaming or you'll deafen everyone here!! *she hits him on the head while he was holding the cat.*

Naruto: Oww!!

Anna: Can I try? *She approached Naruto* Here, kitty *she says softly. Then the cat jumps on her and purrs softly. She then giggles.* You're so cute!! *She starts hugging it.*

Naruto: Hmph!!

Sakura: Whoa, how'd you do that, Anna?

Anna: I don't know, I just did it. I think I'm good with cats.

Naruto: How come it can't scratch your face like it did mine?!

Anna: You probably scared it and came at it in full force. Plus, you started squeezing it real tight, cats are sensitive animals, ya know?

Sasuke: Let's get him back.

*At the Hokage's office...*

*Anna sweatdropped after seeing the counsellor's wife squeezing the cat with force*

Counsellor's Wife: Oh!! My poor little Tora, mommy was so worried about you!!

Naruto: *Laughing* Stupid cat, that kitty deserves to be squashed!!

Sakura: No wonder he ran away.

Anna: Hun-huh *nods her head in agreement* poor cat. Ma'am.... *Walks up to the counsellor's wife* You shouldn't hold a cat like that *she shows her the right way and cat purrs and circles around her neck. She giggles and gives her back to the counsellor's wife* Now, you try.

Counsellor's wife:*Does it the right way* Oh, thank you dear, I can see why she has been running away from me. *She hugs Anna squeezing her to death.*

Anna: Um, you're welcome... Ma'am choking, not breathing...

Counsellor's wife: Oh, so sorry dear.

Anna's pov: * I turn blue after her squeeze but give her a weak smile and a thumbs up and walk back to my team. I see Naruto laughing and I hit him on the head* Idiot!!

Naruto: OW!!!

Third Hokage: Now then, for squad 7's next mission, we have several available tasks. Huh? Among them; baby-sitting the chief counsellor's three year old, helping his wife doing some shopping, digging up potatoes....

Naruto: NOOO!!!! *crossing his arms to make a big "x".* I wanna go on a real mission, something challenging and exciting not this little kids stuff!!!

Sasuke's pov: *He's got a point.*

Sakura's pov: *He's such a pain.*

Anna's pov: *Damn it, Naruto, do you have to be so demanding? But, you've got a point. I wanna do something challenging and exciting too! It's been a while since I went on a real mission. Kakashi's got to go while I get to wait back home. *putting her fists midway*

Kakashi's pov: *Uhh! I knew this was coming.*

Iruka: How dare you?! You're just brand new genins with no experience!! Like everyone else, you'll start with simple missions to develop your skills and prove yourselves!!!

Naruto: Are you serious?!! Baby-sitting's not a real mission, It's just a stupid....* he gets punched on the head by kakashi* OWW!

Kakashi: Will you put a lid on it?

Third Hokage: It seems you do not understand the tasks you have been given. * He starts explaining everything concerning the village's ranking mission only to find out that they were not listening to him*

Naruto: So I had this takansu ramen yesterday and I'm thinking miso ramen today....

Third Hokage: SILENCE!!!!

Kakashi: Oh, sorry.

Naruto: Arrgh!! You always lecture me like you're my grandfather or something, but I'm not the little brat who used to pull pranks all the time. I'm a ninja now and i want a ninja mission. Hmph! *he backed them with his arms crossed.*

Kakashi: Hmm, we're gonna hear about this later.

Third Hokage: *chuckles then laughs.* Naruto wants us to know that he's not a brat, he's a former brat and he wants a mission, so be it.

*Everybody look up to him*

Third Hokage: Since you are so determined, I'm going to give you a C ranked mission. You'll be bodyguards on a journey.

Naruto: Really?!! Yes!!! Who?! Who?!Are we guarding a princess or some big, rich counsellor?!!

Third Hokage: *Laughing* Don't be so impatient, I will bring him in now. Send in our visitor!

*An old man comes in with a bottle of sake*

Tazuna: What the... a bunch of little snot nosed kids?! *he drinks his bottle.* And you, the little one with the idiotic look on your face, do you really expect me to believe you're a ninja?

Naruto: *Laughing* Who's the little one with the idiotic look on his.... huh?! *Everyone lines up, Sasuke being the tallest follwed by Anna and Sakura being the same height and finally Naruto being the shortest.* Kakashi holds him by his collar* I'll

demolish you!! Let me get my hands on him!!!!

Kakashi: You can't demolish the client Naruto, it doesn't work that way. *he says to Naruto struggling to get free form his grasp.*

Tazuna: I am Tazuna, a master bridge builder and I must return to my country. I'm building a bridge there that will change our world and I expect you to get me there safely even if it means giving up your lives.

Anna's pov: *Whoa, he's even more demanding than Naruto.*

Third pov: *Naruto and the others meet up at the village gates ready for their first mission as a team.*

Naruto: YEAH!!! Alright!!!

Sakura: What are you getting so excited about, Naruto?

Naruto: This is my first time i ever left the village. I'm a traveller now, believe it!!

Tazuna: Hey, am I supposed to trust my life to this runt? He's a joke!

Kakashi: He's with me and I'm a Jonin. And this is my cousin, Anna over here. She's also the youngest top level-skilled kunoichi of the hidden leaf. So you don't need to worry.

Naruto's pov: *Hmph!! Why do we have to get this old geezer to guard?! I'm going to cut him down to size right now!!!* Hey, never insult a ninja, it's a big mistake and I'm one of the greatest ninja ever. Someday, I'm going to be Hokage and then you'll look up to me. My name is Naruto Uzumaki... remember it!!

Tazuna: Hokages are powerful and wise, you are puny and brainless. The day you'll become Hokage, I'll sprout wings and fly.

Naruto: Ahh!! Shut up!!! I'm willing to do anything to become Hokage no matter what it takes!!! And when I do, everyone will have to admit that I'm the top ninja, including you!!

Tazuna: You can become Hokage 10x over but to me, you'll still be nobody, a loser!

Naruto: ARGGH!! I'm going to make you pay for that!! *Anna stops him by holding his shoulders tightly* Anna, let me go!!

Kakashi: I told you Naruto, you're supposed to protect the client not attack him.

Anna: Yeah, just cool it , Naruto.

Tazuna: Ha! You're just worthless, nothing more.

Anna's pov: *That's what pissed me off. An irk mark appeared at the side of my forehead and i felt anger boil within me . I growled and let go of Naruto and walked up to Tazuna.*

Hey, old man, I can tolerate your crankiness or whatever, but I won't tolerate when you bad-mouth any of my teammates, ya know?! You should be grateful that you at least have people to guard you or you'll be halfway dead back to your country all by yourself!!!! * Tazuna flinches in fear when he sees Anna giving him a death-glare.*

Kakashi: Anna, that's enough!

Anna's pov: *I look back at kakashi and the others while they look at me wid-eyed* Tch! Let's just go. *I walk ahead of them. I keep walking when Tazuna calls my name.*

Tazuna: Uh, Anna....

Anna: *I look back at him* Yes, sir?

Tazuna: I'm sorry. *Turns to Naruto.* I shouldn't have said that about you, I'm sorry.

Naruto: *chuckles and puts his hands at the back of his head crossing them* Don't worry about it, ya know?

Anna: It's alright. *I look over to kakashi who gave me a closed eye smile. Sakura and Sasuke smile at me too, then an idea popped into my head* Hey, ya know what? I think a little music will help. I hope you guys don't mind.

Sasuke: Sure.

Sakura: That'll be great.

Naruto: Yeah, I'd like to hear your music.

Kakashi: That's an excellent idea, Anna, fire away.

Anna: Sure, let me make a shadow clone. *I do a hand sign and make a shadow clone.*

Sasuke: What do you need a shadow clone for?

Anna: Eh? To play my other instrument. I can't play two at the same time, but I can play them with my shadow clones. *I bring out my scroll from my pouch and do hands signs and bring out my flute and sitar.* Ok everyone, let's hit the road!! *I walk as i play the song I played three days ago. I play the sitar while my clone plays the flute. When I finished, I hear clapping hands behind me. Everyone was clapping except Sasuke.*

Naruto: That was awesome!!

Sakura: That was beautiful, Anna.

Sasuke: Hm.*smiles while closing his eyes.*

Naruto: When you said you could play, I never thought you were this good!!

Anna: Thanks, ya know?

Tazuna's pov: *Hm, she may be scary but she's got talent.*

Kakashi: That was wonderful, Anna. Perfect as always.

Anna: *chuckles and poofs her shadow clone away. I put my instruments in my scroll and back into my pouch. I was satisfied that everyone was in a good mood. Then we kept walking and I walked in between Sasuke and Sakura.*

After a while.....

Sakura: Say, Mr Tazuna?

Tazuna: What is it?

Sakura: Your country is the land of waves, right?

Tazuna: Yeah, what of it?

Sakura: Kakashi sensei, there are ninjas in that country too, aren't there?

Kakashi: No, there are no ninja in the land of waves. Each with their own different cultures and customs where ninja reside. *Then, he started explaining everything about the five great nations and their leaders.*

Hokage, Mizukage, Raikage, Kazekage, Tsuchikage. These are the leaders, the five shadows that reign over thousands of ninja.

Sakura: *Gasps* Then, Lord Hokage is really important. Her pov: *Hmph!! Is that old man really such a big deal? I'm not buying it!*

Naruto's pov: * I got him with my sexy justu, he can't be that great, believe it!*

Kakashi: Hey! You all just doubted Lord Hokage, didn't you?!

Anna: Is that what you guys were thinking?

*They shake their heads in fear*

Kakashi: Well, anyway, there are no ninja battles in a C ranked mission, so you can relax.

Anna: Yeah, there's nothing to worry about, ya know?

Sakura: And we're not going to run into any foreign enemies ninja or anything like that.

Kakashi: *chuckles* Not likely.

Anna: But we must be prepared for anything.

Anna's pov: *We crossed a bridge and were walking silently. Then, I noticed a puddle and looked at kakashi who was already looking at me and I nod my head in agreement knowing what was going on. Then out of nowhere, two rogue ninjas came and put chains around Kakashi and I.*

Kakashi & Anna: What?!!

Sakura: Huh?!

Naruto: What?!

Demon brother 1: Hunh!

Demon brother 2: Do it!!

Anna's pov: *I screamed when they squashed kakashi and I.*

Sakura: *Screams*

Sasuke: Anna!!

Naruto: Anna!! Kakashi sensei!!!

*They appear at Naruto's back*

Demon brothers: Now it's your turn.

Anna's pov: *Kakashi and I were on a tree branch.*

Kakashi: Good sensing, Anna.

Anna: Yeah, shouldn't we help them?

Kakashi: Nah, let's see what they can do.

Anna's pov: *We see them about to hit Naruto and Sakura protecting Tazuna with Sasuke covering her.* Kakashi sensei....

Kakashi: Right, let's go.

Anna's pov: *I come in front of Sasuke and kick the ninja with my right leg, throwing him to kakashi holding the other saving Naruto.*

Kakashi: Hi.

Anna: Hey. *giving them a closed eye smile.*

Sakura's pov: *Anna!! Kakashi sensei!! They're alright!!*

Sasuke's pov: *Hmph! Show-offs!*

Naruto: Huh?! But they were.... what?! They used the replacement justu.

Anna: I told you guys, you should be prepared for anything.

Kakashi: Naruto, sorry we didn't help you right away, we just didn't think that you'd freeze up like that. Good job, Sasuke, very smooth. You too Sakura.

Anna: Yeah, you guys were amazing, ya know? *I say while crossing my hands at the back of my head only to be hit by Sasuke.* Hey!! Oh, What was that for?!!

Sasuke: Idiot! Don't scare us like that!

Sakura: Yeah, I was worried about you!

Anna: You guys don't need to worry about me, I've survived worse than this.... Ok that's not entirely true but why'd you hit me, Sasuke?!

Sasuke: I have the right, don't I? I am older than you.

Anna: Eh?! Older?! I'm October, what month are you?

Sasuke: Bummer, I'm July.

Anna: Oh man!! You are older, but not on the same level as you though.

Sasuke: Whatever, just don't do that again. *I turned to Naruto*  Hey.

Naruto: Yeah?

Sasuke: You're not hurt, are you? You scaredy cat.

Naruto: *groans*  SASUKE!!

Kakashi: Naruto!! Stand still, these ninja have poison in their claws. We need to take it out of you quickly. We have to open the wound and remove it so don't move around. That spreads the poison. By the way Mr Tazuna...

Tazuna: Yeah, what?

Kakashi: We need to talk.

*Anna ties them up to a tree and walk back to kakashi's right side.*

Kakashi: They are chuunin from the village hidden in the mist. Their specialty is relentless attack. They keep fighting no matter what the sacrifice.

Demon brother 1: How did you guys know about our ambush?

Kakashi: Anna, tell them.

Anna: *I crossed my arms across my chest* A puddle. On a clear day, when it hasn't rained in weeks. You guys should really step up your game when it comes to ambush.

Tazuna: In that case, why did you leave it for the genin to do the fighting?

Kakashi: Anna and I could have taken them out quickly, but then I would have learned nothing. I wanted to know who their target was... and what they were after.

Tazuna: Huh?! What are you getting at?!

Kakashi: This. I wanted to know if they were after us, ninja attacking ninja or if they were after you; the master bridge builder. When you put in your request, you asked for protection against robbers and high way men. You didn't say there were ninja looking for you, hunting you down. If we knew this, it would be a B ranked mission or higher. Our task was simply to get you to your destination and protect you while you finish building your bridge. If we knew we'd be feuding attacks from enemy ninja, we would have staffed differently and charged for the cost of a B ranked mission. Apparently, you have your reasons, but lying to us is not acceptable. We are now beyond the scope of this mission.

Sakura: We are genin, this is too advanced for our level of training. We should go back.. and I really think we should treat Naruto's wound and get the poison out as soon as possible. Back in our village, we can take him to a doctor.

Naruto: Huh?!

Kakashi: Naruto's hand could become a problem, I guess we should head back to the village.

Anna's pov: *wow, he really knows how to be sarcastic. I look over to Naruto and what he did next surprised me. He takes out his kunai and stabs his wound allowing the poison to come out and some blood oozing out.*

Naruto: Why am I so different?! Why am I always....* grunts in pain.*

Sakura: Naruto, stop that!! What are you doing?!

Naruto: I worked so hard to get here, pushing myself until it hurts, training alone for hours, anything to get stronger, to reach my dream!! I will never back down again and let someone else rescue me. I will never run away and I will not lose to Sasuke. Upon this wound, I make this pledge, believe it!! Bridge builder, I'll complete this mission and protect you with this kunai knife.

Anna's pov: *Just watching him make his pledge, gives me the desire to want to protect him. Whenever he's hurt, it hurts me too. Like we're connected somehow. I promise, Naruto, I'll help you acheive it! * Naruto looks at us and smiles even in pain and I smiled back at him.*

Naruto: Don't worry, I'll be fine!

Kakashi: Naruto uh, that was really cool how you took the poison out and all ,eh but if you loose any more blood you're going to die.

Naruto: *Panicks and sweats while shivering*

Kakashi: Good idea to stop the bleeding now, seriously.

Naruto: *Screams* No! No!! No!!! I'm too young for it all to end like this. No! No!! No!!!. Ah!!

Kakashi: Give me your hand.

Sakura: Naruto, you have a self abuse of personality. It's called Masicarsm.

Kakashi: Hm.

Naruto: Um, you have a serious look on your face you're scaring me, am I going to be okay?

Kakashi: Uh, yeah. You should be fine.

Anna: Yeah, for the record, Naruto that speech you gave, it's kinda inspirational. *Smiles at him and he smiles back.* Alright, let's go everyone. *We continue our journey to the land of waves. *
