Chapter 11: Are you a disciple of the Scarlet Moon Sect?

"So what does his identity have to do with me? And about the disaster? Haha, I'm the only one who brings calamity to others—no one has ever brought misfortune upon me!" Xian Yue sneered with scorn.

That was when Xian Wu's pupils shrunk back in a state of incredulity. "What? You mean he is Yan Zheng? The same Yan Zheng who joined the legendary 'Scarlet Moon Sect'?

"Haha! So, here's someone who knows of our Scarlet Moon Sect! Finally, some semblance of knowledge!" Ji Kun's expression shifted back to the cold, haughty one he'd been sporting before.

So long as one person knew, it was pretty clear that these country bumpkins had little semblance of knowledge about the real forces behind such happenings.

Xian Wu's face turned pale at this piece of information. All he had ever heard was just a legend about the Scarlet Moon sect; he had always felt that it was something beyond the reach of the Yunxiao Dynasty. Even the Yunxiao had to be considered comparatively humble before a power of such a level.

"No way, we got provoked by such great strength!" Xian Wu shivered.

A power that can wipe out all the Xian clan line in the wink of an eye.

"And someone just pointed out that your Xian family no longer paid tributes to the Yunxiao Dynasty? Do you know that the Yunxiao must pay tributes to our Scarlet Moon Sect every year?" Ji Kun's voice grew sharper, slicing through the air.

"If you do not pay taxes, how can we pay tributes to them either? Do you really want to be an enemy of Scarlet Moon Sect?"

At Ji Kun's words, Xian Wu shuddered as the boastful claim washed over him like ice water. The Xian family was too insignificant; how could they possibly threaten such an influential organization?

I could never envision them betraying something like the Scarlet Moon Sect.

Well, a few of members of the Xian family did join some of those smaller sects, but they were minuscule in comparison.

Ji Kun sneered, tossing a glance at Xian Yue, to find that the latter was staring at the Heavenly Dao Golden List floated in the air. The list had depicted the names of strong humans from the Supreme Realm.

"The 44th-ranked 'Xiaoyaozi' on the cultivation list, boasting of a cultivation level of Quasi-Emperor Realm First Layer, receives the heavenly reward of the Emperor Grade Divine Ability 'Great Dao Buddha Palm!' "

Shocked gasps spread throughout the meeting of powerful aliens. A Quasi-Emperor First Layer was ranked 44th?

"Does that mean, besides the nine Great Emperors, there are thirty-five hidden Quasi-Emperors in the galaxy?"

"It is truly amazing! I always thought that there were just dozens of super-strong Quasi-Emperors, but I never thought there could be more than thirty to be kept secret!"

Their amazement deepened, the depths of the universe much greater than they had ever thought.

And this round of rewards was rich; an Emperor Grade Divine Ability was one of them even.

"The 43rd ranked 'Madman' on the cultivation list, also at Quasi-Emperor Realm First Layer, receives the heavenly reward of an Emperor Grade Pill—Enlightenment Dao Pill!"

"Ranked 42nd on the cultivation list, 'Zhu Yao' is also Quasi-Emperor Realm First Layer. She receives the heavenly reward of Chaos Immortal Gold!"

Tremendous rewards had caught the attention of countless powerhouses in the universe.

With the Dao Pill, one could sort of understand higher realms, and apply them for a breakthrough.

Immortal Gold, however is a material so rare that only a small handful of it is needed to fabricate imperial weapons - treasured among all Great Emperor rank cultivators for sure.

The charm of these riches was irresistible!

Many people realized that the prize was more substantial for Quasi-Emperors compared to the Supreme Realm.

"The stronger your cultivation, the more fantastic the rewards! "

"I can only imagine what heavenly rewards the nine Great Emperors are going to receive and shake the world!"

In Feihua City,

It was then that Ji Kun felt an acrid sting of envy as he listened to the heavenly proclamations. He could not forbear to whisper to himself, "Quasi-Emperor! Will I ever be able to attain such heights in my life?"

"If you are able to escape from this place, you may still have a chance, but if you continue to linger here, your prospects will be completely lost!" Xian Yue's voice cut through Ji Kun's thoughts.

"What did you just say?"

"How silly you really are? I am warning you to leave; my patience is so thin that I can clearly see through my fingernail!"

Ji Kun cracked a wry smile as he spoke to Xian Wu, "It looks like your clan has no idea what kind of force our Scarlet Moon Sect has. I think you should tell him that for me! I have already given you a chance, and yet you did not know the worth of that!"

Xian Yue squinted, a flicker of exasperation dancing in his pupils.

"So what if you don't? What can you possibly do to me? I am a direct disciple of the second elder of the Scarlet Moon Sect. Do you dare to lay a finger on me? If you do, my master will personally make sure that your whole clan is eradicated! Ha ha!"

Seeing Xian Yue not caring a whit about his threats, Ji Kun's arrogance rose. This guy thought the other party would never dare to move against him and immediately felt a burst of arrogance .

"In that case, I'll demonstrate the true might of the Soul formation Realm!"

Not believing that Xiao Chen would return a strike, Ji Kun let loose from his forehead a golden light, shooting forth like a blinding beam aimed straight at Xian Yue.

Although he felt that he could not understand how Xian Yue managed to avoid his earlier insight, he could think of no way that there might be any great warriors hiding in a backwater place like

Feihua City. He intended to make no exception and be lenient with this exclusive spiritual attack to the Soul formation Realm.

"This is a spiritual attack unique to the Soul formation Realm! Prepare to meet your end!"

His voice was like a gong, the pure white consciousness attack hitting Xian Yue's forehead. But at the next moment, Ji Kun was frozen in disbelief. His consciousness attack had hit its target, yet it seemed to have no effect whatsoever; Xian Yue stood stiff, apparently undamaged.

"This is impossible!" Ji Kun gasped, staring with disbelief across his face.

Is the other party powerful enough to ignore my spiritual assault?

Is it possible that he has also reached the Soul formation Realm? Or maybe he surpassed it completely?

Impossible! Yan Tianshan said that the powerhouses in Feihua City did not exceed the Golden core Realm. So, it was unimaginable that a cultivator from the Soul formation Realm existed among them.

Xian family, who were overjoyed with this incident, felt an urgent sense of unease for Xian Yue.

Both Ji Kun and Xian Yue had that power in their minds, but Ji Kun was born from the noble Scarlet Moon Sect. So he had a huge advantage.

Still, when they cast their gazes at the result, they felt a relief; apparently Xian Yue had a very strong background of his own.

"Is this your best spiritual attack? Try to take me for a fool?" Xian Yue laughed scornfully. He had the attack not even bring him a slight tickle.

"While I don't understand your method, I guess I shall have to show you my strongest move now!"

Ji Kun's face transformed into one of pure intensity in battle prep, and all his haughty personality evaporated. His red and blue sphere materialized from between his brows, floating intimidatingly above his head.

"Redneck, do you know what this is? This is a Fifth Grade spiritual weapon. I'm sure you've never seen anything like it before. You, a group of people who can barely scrape by with a Third Grade spiritual weapon, could never dream of owning a Fifth Grade weapon!"

"You'll have no regrets when you die at my hands with this Fifth Grade weapon!"

Ji Kun gathered his spirit power into the blade suspended over him, watching as it grew from a man's head-sized mass to a sphere large enough to nearly fill a foot in diameter.
