Chapter 54: Chaos Dual Pupils Awakening

If he hadn't held onto such heavy fear, he would've already risen up to take hold of the opportunity in front of him.

Selling something of this great importance to the opponent would undoubtedly boomerang against the Xian family someday. Though they didn't quite take it too seriously, Xian Feng remained steadfast on this point.

"What a shame, Pengfei lamented, though deep down, he knew that even if the other party still held such a valuable item, selling it was impossible. It would be an invaluable asset to their clan.".

"In that case, we shall take our leave. The Lingyun Sect has had heavy losses this time and is going to take a lot of time to recuperate. When we get back on our feet again, I will be sure to bring over an abundance of gift-giving as a gesture of gratitude to the Xian family!"

"There's no need for thanks; we are not here for your sake," Xian Feng said, dismissing the gesture with a wave of his hand. He turned to Xian Ran and said, "Make sure to visit the family more often when you can."

"Yes, thank you, Great Elder, and everyone, for stepping in this time!" Xian Ran said, showing his gratitude.

"Thanking us isn't necessary. You are part of our family. Would we ignore you in a crisis?" Xian Feng said with a smile.

However, he could not dispel his curiosity concerning the conditions under which Xian Ran had awakened his body, according to the elder.

He was in a commotion of turbulent emotions within his chest. This was the relationship of blood; if those in the sect were aware they were in danger, they would have gathered without a second thought!

Just as the Lingyun Sect members departed, the Xian family continued to relentlessly eradicate the remaining two powerful enemies. In line with predictions, the Spiritual Pulse Realm cultivator was headed for an inescapable tragic death that ignited the battle once again.

Half a day later, Xian Feng led his group in killing all the Nascent Soul Realm monks there. They didn't think and quickly rushed towards the territories of Cangwu Sect and Blood Knife Sect. Before either side could react, they systematically dismantled their strongholds, taking all their useful resources.

Anything useful—the techniques of martial arts and spiritual stones, spiritual weapons and elixirs, spiritual plants from anywhere—was gathered without any hesitation.

Xian Yue worked in a courtyard where soil was stirred by hoe. He planted a mulberry tree nourished by his own power. The once barren trunk soon sprouted young leaves. From it, darkly radiant mulberries formed.

With divine energy from the former user, the tree underwent some magical changes. Taoist inscriptions appeared on the trunk and leaves of the tree and possessed an inexplicable essence.

Even though this tree was not the kind of tree to enlightenment, any one sitting under it will find his or her way to understanding significantly eased!

Xian Yue plucked a mulberry fruit and chewed, nodded with satisfaction. "Delicious! This will definitely be an excellent ingredient for future brews!"

Beside him, Xian Zhennan picked a mulberry as well. After tasting it, his eyes sparkled with excitement. It was only a snap before a blast of fantastic energy burst out from him, and he really opened up quite a number of new Nascent Souls successfully!

"A mere mulberry can contain such powerful energy?" he exclaimed, unbelievable.

The other elders blinked, their faces incredulous. This mulberry tree was originally a run-of-the-mill spiritual plant. Sure, it did grow spiritual fruits, but the energy was negligible, just good enough to be satisfying to the taste.

But after Xia Chen's care, the energy from these mulberries had transformed into quite a change.

"This is the power of nature! It's advanced from a run-of-the-mill spiritual plant to a high-level spiritual plant. The energy it holds is, of course, extraordinary!"

Xian Yue scooped up a handful of the bright black mulberries and tossed them into a green-skinned gourd. Shake it lightly and a fragrant smell fills the courtyard, entrancing everyone present.

In no time, those around the courtyard would start breaking through their limits. The scent carried energies that, once inhaled, would naturally boost their progress

I never thought a breakthrough could feel this easy!" Xian Lang and Xian Tian found their wide eyes stuck on that statement, suddenly realizing that even the fragrance of the wine might launch them into great heights. That was indeed amazing!

Grinning, Xian Yue said, "A few days back, I put this gourd under an immortal elixir plant. So, the energy in this wine is much superior to the 'inferior brews' you've ever drunk before!

The Fifth Elder, Xian Zhennan, eyed the wine gourd covetously, drooling almost in his longing. This must smell so glorious! Wine inside has to be exquisite!

"Do you want some?" Xian Yue goaded.

"Absolutely!" Xian Zhennan replied with eagerness.

"Alright, hold out your gourd!" Xian Yue poured him but a single drop and left Xian Zhennan stunned.

"Why but a drop? Clan Leader, are you being stingy?"

"Stingy?" Xian Yue roared with laughter and threw up his hands to shield his eyes. "Halt and go draw out some good wine in your gourd and mix it in. You'll be able to manage it. Trust me, if you even sip it, you might get knocked off the ground by a fit of energy!"

"That's just it; now I know! I shouldn't have doubted the clan chief!" Xian Zhennan apologized promptly.

Other elders could feel a heave of regret rise over them, wishing they too had brought their share of wine gourds. They promised one another that the next time, they would prepare better to not lose opportunities like these.

Just as they gathered a few mulberries to bring along, Xian Lang couldn't bear his curiosity any longer. "Clan Chief, Elders, did you summon us for a particular reason?"

Xian Yue drank from his gourd while casting a glance at Xian Tian. "I called you here for your eyes."

"My eyes?" Xian Tian trembled, excitement coursing through him. "Clan Leader, do you have a way to heal them?"

"Of course! If I couldn't, would I have summoned you just to waste time?.".

Xian Tian nodded eagerly and ripped off the dark bandage covering his eyes, baring his frightened white pupils.

In time, when divine patterns danced within Xian Yue's eyes, a bright golden light shot through the void and illuminated Xian Tian's vision

And in that moment, warmth enveloped Xian Tian's eyes as if something astonishing was cultivating it. Warmth covered his eyes, but he perceived a shift, but instead of reality, he found himself inserted in a grotesque space.

It was a scene full of confusion. The environment around him was still undefined. Interlocking chains occluded his view.

Suddenly, a rush of golden light came flooding in from the outside. Immediately, the chains that once bound and limited his view would melt away!

When the golden brilliance faded, a brilliant white light dazzled Xian Tian.

As the bright light abated for a little while, a spectrum of colors stood before his eyes.

Sharply and clearly, he saw double images. Then in the blink of an eye, the illusions were gone, and everything was clear again.

"How are you?" Xian Yue asked.

Xian Tian blinked in disbelief. "Clan Leader?"

"It seems your eyesight has returned!" confirmed Xian Yue with a nod.

He had broken the heavenly barriers that had obscured Xian Tian's view, and now his unorthodox Dual Pupils were showing their complete form.
