Chapter 86: Weird Yin Spirit

"Not bad, not bad. There are a few mountain peaks placed in this divine city that are quite striking, and the spiritual plants growing on them make the scenery even more vibrant!"

Xian Yue nodded approvingly, clearly pleased with the arrangement.

He had also transplanted all the Five Elements melon seeds, Aurora grapes, and mulberry trees he had previously cultivated. Now, his orchard was finally taking shape, gaining a small but satisfying size.

Xian Yue approached a plum tree, reached out, and plucked a plump, glowing plum. The fruit looked luscious, and as he took a bite, the juice exploded with flavor, rich and satisfying.

However, after some thought, Xian Yue realized the spiritual energy in the area was still too thin. The denser the spiritual energy, the more flavorful the fruits would become. To address this, he decided to place a spiritual spring, which he had previously acquired, at the center of several mountain peaks.

In an instant, the spring began releasing a dense mist of spiritual energy, enveloping the surrounding peaks. Xian Yue also used special techniques to contain the energy within the orchard, preventing it from dissipating into the surrounding area.

Once this was done, he retrieved a dead peach tree and planted it beside the spiritual spring. Channeling divine energy from his fingertips into the trunk, a divine light infused the tree. Miraculously, the once-dead tree began to sprout new buds, which soon unfurled into bright green leaves. The crown of the peach tree grew larger, eventually stretching to cover several of the nearby peaks.

This divine energy wasn't ordinary—it was god-tier power, capable of far more than mere resurrection. The massive surge of energy prompted the tree to begin bearing fruit almost immediately. Peach blossoms bloomed and withered in moments, and soon enough, large, ripe peaches hung heavily from the branches.

Xian Yue counted them carefully. There were exactly three hundred and sixty-five peaches.

He picked one and took a bite, savoring the sweet and refreshing taste. A satisfied smile spread across his face as he remarked, "This peach contains enough energy to allow someone to ascend from the Qi Gathering Realm to the Immortal Dao Realm."

Of course, that was only the raw energy stored within the fruit. If an ordinary cultivator from the Qi Gathering Realm dared to eat it, they would likely explode from the overwhelming power.

Despite its potency, this wasn't a true Immortal Dao Fruit. It wouldn't grant instant ascension to the True Immortal level.

Afterward, Xian Yue busied himself tending to the plants and trees in his orchard. He found it far more fulfilling than engaging in battles or hunting down enemies.

Meanwhile, in Feihua City, a group of young cultivators from the Xian family had arrived, seeking out Yin spirits from the underworld. Among them were Xian Yin, Xian Lang, and Xian Yan, all of them brimming with confidence and vitality.

"I can't believe how much stronger these Xian family members have become in such a short time," Lu Renjia observed in astonishment as he watched the younger generation of the Xian family.

"Yeah, the ones I used to look down on have grown considerably. There's an undeniable sense of power about them now. I can't imagine how far they've progressed in their cultivation!" another onlooker exclaimed enviously.

Among the Xian family's younger generation, even the least powerful were at the Nascent Soul Realm. The residents of Feihua City were baffled by how the Xian family had managed to nurture so many formidable cultivators. In fact, even at its peak, the City Lord's Mansion had only boasted a handful of Nascent Soul Realm cultivators.

"With such a powerful group of cultivators, they should be able to deal with the mastermind behind the Yin spirit attacks. Maybe we'll finally have some peace around here," someone in the crowd remarked hopefully.

"Let's hope so!" others murmured, sharing the sentiment.

Xian Yin, full of impatience, shouted, "You ghosts from the underworld, where are you hiding? Show yourselves before I start breaking things!"

He was clearly frustrated. Despite searching extensively, he and the others still hadn't found any trace of the Yin spirits. Even the use of their spiritual senses yielded no results.

Xian Lang shook his head and suggested, "Instead of wasting your energy shouting, why not let Xian Tian use his Chaos Dual Pupils? He'll be able to see where they're hiding."

"Right, I totally forgot Xian Tian has those eyes of his!" Xian Yin exclaimed. "Come on, Xian Tian, use your ability and help us find those creatures from the underworld!"

Xian Yin knew he couldn't afford to waste time. He had his sights set on cultivating to a higher level than his goddess, or he would never be worthy of pursuing her.

With a sigh, Xian Tian said, "I really don't like using the Dual Pupils in places like this."

The ability of his eyes was incredibly powerful, and more often than not, he ended up seeing things he'd rather not.

Nevertheless, Xian Tian activated his Chaos Dual Pupils. The two pupils in his eyes spun like miniature worlds, and he began scanning the area. Within moments, he detected a strange creature hiding in a dark corner. But instead of stopping there, Xian Tian widened his search, scanning the entire city. To his surprise, he found several more suspicious creatures lurking in various hidden spots.

"I found them," he announced. "But there's more than one."

Led by Xian Tian, the group of Xian family members quietly made their way to the basement of a dilapidated building. There, they encountered a translucent being that resembled a soul.

"Is this one of the underworld ghosts?" Xian Yin asked, staring at the creature in astonishment. The spirit cowered before them, clearly frightened.

"It must be," Xian Tian replied. "It's not like any normal person, and our spiritual senses can't detect any sign of life from it."

Without the power of his Chaos Dual Pupils, Xian Tian wouldn't have been able to see the creature at all.

"How strange. It's so weak, yet even at this close range, my spiritual sense can't pick up any life force from it. What's going on here?" Xian Lang wondered aloud, intrigued by the strange being before them.

The Yin spirit, upon realizing it was being scrutinized like a mere object, became enraged. "You pitiful mortals! How dare you gaze upon me with such insolence!" it roared, its voice full of indignation. "When my army from the underworld arrives, your world will be doomed!"

The spirit's arrogance was palpable as it barked commands, acting as if it were a superior being looking down on the Xian family members.

"Oh? So you think you can just waltz into our world and throw your weight around?" Xian Yin retorted, grabbing the spirit by the neck. Despite its ethereal, translucent form, it couldn't resist his grip.

"Let go of me, you lowly mortal!" the Yin spirit cried out. "Release me at once!"

"Shut up!" Xian Yin snapped, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "Keep talking, and I'll crush your spirit to dust."

The Yin spirit's bravado instantly vanished. It remained silent, too terrified to speak further.

"Hmph, you're lucky our clan leader wants to keep you alive. Otherwise, I'd have torn you apart for daring to act so high and mighty in front of us!" Xian Yin sneered. "You're just a weak little ghost from the underworld. It's laughable that you thought you could make us surrender!"

The Yin spirit trembled in Xian Yin's grasp, unsure of how things had gone so wrong. It had been told that as long as it remained hidden, the humans would never be able to detect its presence. Yet here it was, exposed and at the mercy of these terrifying cultivators.

What had gone wrong?
