161. What Is Electricity Anyway?

The gel battery was stored in a designated room, and the controller was placed on a table above it.

Wires from the solar panels were first connected to the controller, which then routed the charge to the battery. The controller adjusted the flow of power to ensure the battery was charged correctly.

Three wires extended from other ports on the controller. These wires were routed into three separate rooms, secured along the walls with pins to keep them in place.

They helped carry goods for the store and followed Lena's instructions when needed.

Now, Jason planned to teach Barron and five others how to install the solar lighting system. He wanted them to master the entire process.

To speed things up, Jason divided the six workers into three groups:

Jason also instructed Lena to recruit 20 more young workers to join Barron's team. Together, the 30-person crew would form a dedicated solar lighting installation team to handle future orders.

The team worked hard, understanding how important this task was to Lord Jason. They were in awe of the magical lighting device he had introduced.

By afternoon, the workers had completed installations in 10 soldier barracks. This time, they worked much faster than they had in the morning. As it grew dark, they decided to continue with the remaining rooms the next day.

That evening, when the soldiers returned to their barracks, they were stunned to see the bright white light illuminating their space. It was as if daylight had been brought indoors.

Barron and his team proudly explained that these were solar-powered lights brought by Lord Jason from his homeland. The soldiers, who were illiterate and had no concept of solar power, were amazed by the lamps, which were ten times brighter than oil lamps or candles.

In the main hall of the castle, where three energy-saving lamps had been installed, the space was brilliantly lit.

As Lena, Boris, Jon, and the seven Easter knights joined Jason for dinner at the long table, they couldn't take their eyes off the dazzling lamps.

Even Boris, who prided himself on his knowledge, was left speechless. He couldn't comprehend how Jason's homeland managed to capture sunlight and use it for lighting at night.

The concept of electricity was entirely foreign to him.

Jason tried to explain how electricity and magnetism worked together, but it was all too complex for Boris. "Seven gods above," Boris thought to himself, "what kind of sorcery is this?"

Frustrated by his inability to understand, Boris decided to focus on what he knew best—medicine. "I'm just a medical researcher," he muttered, "and I don't even have a bachelor's degree. This electricity stuff is beyond me!"

After dinner, Boris returned to the hospital with a defeated look on his face. His five apprentices couldn't help but wonder what had happened. "Didn't Master Boris just attend Lord Jason's dinner? Why does he look so miserable?"

Meanwhile, the bright lights from Jason's castle caught the attention of nearby townspeople. Seeing the glow from behind the high fences, they assumed Jason had lit an enormous number of butter candles.

Regardless, everyone agreed on one thing: Lord Jason Easter was clearly wealthy.

Inside the castle, Jason himself was deep in thought as he glanced at the piles of gold dragon coins in his safe. With the gold stored in his modern villa added in, his total wealth had reached nearly 20,000 dragon coins.
