190. Sales and Carriages

I want two sets as well! Give me two sets—I have money!"

"Don't push! Lord Saiwen, didn't we already agree? There aren't enough for each of us to take two!"

Jason Liu signaled Jon, dicken, and the others to collect the payments, while Barron and his men handed out two sets of stab-resistant suits to each nobleman.

Using his height and strength to his advantage, Big Jon pushed his way to the front and secured two of the largest stab-proof suits. He was delighted to have one for himself and one for his son, Little Jon. Without hesitation, he pulled the protective gear over his thick wool sweater.

Bang! Bang!

Big Jon clapped his large hands against the black stab-proof suit, feeling its firm yet flexible texture. He moved his arms around and nodded with satisfaction. "This is fantastic! It's nothing like heavy iron armor—light and easy to move in!"

Little Jon was just as pleased. He kept running his hands over his new stab-proof suit, grinning widely.

The other Northern lords also received two sets each but weren't as eager as House Amber to put them on immediately. Instead, they inspected the material and discussed its quality among themselves.

Each noble felt satisfied, knowing they had secured one set for themselves and another for their heirs. The stab-resistant suits offered protection that gave them peace of mind.

The widow, Lady Lysa Flint, also saw the worth of the stab-proof suits. She took out 100 golden dragons without blinking and purchased two sets, one of which she planned to gift to her son and heir.

The happiest buyers were undoubtedly Maege Mormont, the Lady of Bear Island, and her daughter, Dacey Mormont. Both were fierce warriors despite being women, and these new suits would make them even deadlier in battle. The added protection without sacrificing mobility was exactly what they needed.

Jason Liu was pleased as well. With just over twenty sets of stab-proof suits sold, he had already earned more than 1,000 golden dragons. And this was only the beginning—there were even bigger sales ahead.

"My lords and ladies, now that you have your stab-proof suits, allow me to introduce the two models of luxurious four-wheeled carriages that I've prepared for you!"

With a confident smile, Jason signaled Barlow, who stood beside the carriages. Barlow and a few young stable hands immediately led the horses forward, pulling the carriages slowly into view.

"This one is smaller than the other," observed Lady Lysa Flint with curiosity. "Lord Jason, is this small four-wheeled carriage also for sale?"

"Of course, Lady Flint!" Jason walked over to the smaller carriage as Barlow stepped forward and opened the door.

"This smaller model shares all the features of the larger carriage, except for the absence of a full-size bed," Jason explained. "It has excellent shock absorption, bright crystal lamps, sturdy steel framing, and reinforced glass windows. These features ensure both comfort and security."

As he spoke, he gestured for Lady Lysa Flint, Maege Mormont, and Dacey Mormont to step inside and experience it for themselves.

Barlow took his place at the driver's seat. With a nod from Jason, he flicked the reins lightly, prompting the two horses to pull the carriage forward smoothly.

Rumble—

Despite the uneven roads of the winter market town, the specially designed wide wheels and solid rubber tires kept the ride steady. The noblewomen inside barely felt any bumps at all.

From a distance, the townsfolk gathered to watch the display, but none dared to get too close. These were some of the most powerful nobles in the North, and a commoner who got in their way could easily be punished.

Besides, the guards and retainers of the noble houses stood nearby, ensuring that no "undesirables" disturbed their lords and ladies.

When Barlow finished the test ride and returned the carriage to Jason's store, the noblewomen stepped out with smiles of approval.

"Very comfortable!" Lady Lysa Flint praised.

"Yes, it's far better than our old wooden carriages!" added Countess Ballet.

The male lords soon took their turns riding in the smaller carriage as well. Jason wanted them to personally experience its smooth ride and excellent shock absorption.

"This is excellent," one noble remarked. "It handles rough roads well, and you barely feel any bumps inside."

"It would be a pleasure to travel in a carriage like this every day!" another lord added.

Satisfied with their reactions, Jason continued his pitch. "As you can see, this smaller carriage is perfect for short-distance travel and navigating the narrow streets of a city. Its compact design makes it easier to turn in tight spaces."

He then turned to the large carriage beside him and gestured toward it. "On the other hand, this larger four-wheeled carriage is designed for long-distance travel. Take this trip, for example. You have all come from your castles to Winterfell for the celebrations. Imagine making such a journey in this spacious and comfortable carriage."

Jason stepped closer, his voice growing more persuasive. "With this, you can sit or even lie down comfortably while traveling. You won't have to worry about rain or harsh winds. And if you use a four-horse team, you can travel much faster on rough roads than with your old wooden carriages!"

He gave them a moment to take in his words before delivering the final push. "The comfort level of these steel-framed carriages is far beyond that of the traditional wooden ones!"

Seeing the nobles nod in agreement, Jason seized the opportunity. "Now is your chance to place an order! The large carriage is available for 1,000 golden dragons, while the smaller one costs 700 golden dragons."

He raised a hand for emphasis. "If you place an order today, I guarantee that within seven days, you'll be able to send someone to pick up your very own luxury steel carriage!"

With a charming smile, he concluded, "So, my lords and ladies, if you wish to experience the comfort, safety, and convenience of these magnificent carriages, step inside my store and place your orders now. The sooner you do, the sooner you'll enjoy the ride of a lifetime!"
