Awakening

The clang of steel against steel rang through the training grounds as two men of impressive physiques met head on in a battle of strength and skill.

One obviously younger standing at an impressive 6ft3 with flowing hair as dark the night and the eyes to match, embodying the traits of the blackfyre royal family.

Null fought with the gait of a seasoned killer, at just the young age of seventeen he fought with an intensity that would awe seasoned warriors.

But his opponent a grizzled looking man with brown lock of hairs met every strike with an effortless ease, standing at a staggering height of 7ft4 the mountain of a man stood unmovable as he countered every attack with basic sword movements as would be expected of the strongest warrior of the blackfyre kingdom.

As a mid iron core stage warrior varyn blackmoor was a force to be reckoned with even during training.

With a slight deflection of the prince's sword and a slight step into his space, varyn buried his fist the prince's stomach knocking the air out of him.

Null gasped on the training ground still trying to piece together the series of actions that led to his defeat, although he never hoped to win it still left him in awe seeing the power of iron core stage warriors.

The deflection of his sword, the step into his space and the punch all seem to have happened simultaneously and seamlessly, creating the impression that those three actions happened at the exact same time, he was truly impressed by the powers of this world.

Yes Null is a reincarnate in his past world he died at the age 60. due to his love of warfare he had joined the military at the age of 18 and spent most of his life in the military.

Achieving the rank of general before his death he could have gone higher, but declined promotions as this was the highest rank that still allowed a degree of closeness to the battlefield,he was a true warmonger

When he died he met the cliché ROB and got 3 wishes apart from being able to select his background and looks. As a man who has lived through to his sixties he has always admired the generals of old as such he wasn't looking to become the strongest immediately and a god by the age of 20, he understood the importance of foundation this translated to the wishes he made which are.

The kingdom foundation system

Top tier talent

A personalized sword technique

As for his background he selected to be born an orphan as a 60 year old man he had no interest in calling someone father or mother.

So he made it that his father died at war and his mother after hearing the news died 2 years after his birth, cruel but effective as a 60 year old war veteran he was no saint.

As such he was reincarnated as the only son of the king of the blackfyre kingdom,

18 years since then he is now a peak aura awakening stage on the verge of condensing his iron core.

he has already gotten all his wishes apart from his system which should awaken tomorrow which was his 18th birthday

This would also be the day he would be of his coronation as the king of the blackfyre kingdom, he hadn't been coroneted yet,

by his own choosing as he wanted to use the past years to get stronger, an 18 year old peak awakening is unheard this is only possible because of his crimson gold talent .

which is also unheard of and the perseverance of 60 year old war veteran

(An explanation of the talent ranks will be uploaded as an auxiliary chapter)

Since then the kingdom has been under the rule of varyn blackmoor, varyn who is also the product of the system was given to him as an early gift of the system to protect him,

after the death of his mother.

He was also the one who quelled the unrest that occurred in the kingdom due to the absence of a clear ruler and a 2 year old crown prince.

As a product of the system his loyalty was guaranteed so apart from the some important detail varyn the kings regent handle the kingdoms matters.

Getting up while dusting himself null sneered "you don't hold back old man"

"I'm sure you can handle it" said varyn sheathing his sword while approaching

Null didn't reply merely signaling to a maid nearby to bring him a towel while wiping off the sweat he worked up "how are the preparations coming along" he asked returning the towel to the maid

"Very well your grace" replied varyn

"Good, the invitations? "Null asked while walking into the castle

"They were sent a week ago all three dukes will be in attendance" varyn paused

"Of the counts three will be of attendance while the other will have representa- which one" Null interrupted

"House frostfield" said varyn

"A shame" Null said lightly though the steely glint in his eyes couldn't be mistaken

"The other nobles"? Asked Null

"They are all expected to be in attendance" replied varyn

"Considering the circumstances I expected more resistance" null said

"They are not fools your grace the fact that the kingdom is still being held together in those circumstances is quite telling" varyn said saluting the black armored guards as they made their way into the castle

Each of the guards a peak mortal tempering stage warriors which was expected as only the elite are part the black guard, the kings guard

"Seems house frostfield didn't get the memo" Null smiled mirthfully

"I'll freshen up first meet me in the courtroom I'd like to be updated on the kingdoms state of affairs" said null while walking away

"Your grace" said varyn taking his leave

As Null walked through the black and gold gilded halls towards his chambers, even at his cumulative age of seventy-eight he couldn't help the burst of excitement he felt.

During his conversation with varyn he had heard a familiar sound in his head, one he heard about 16 years ago when his system rewarded him with varyn and now he heard it again.

getting to his chambers he locked the door and sat on his king sized bed

"SYSTEM" he said

Almost instantly a transparent panel appeared

Although the system looked simple, it didn't stop the almost maniacal that bloomed on his face
