The abrupt developments in the scene immediately captured everyone's attention.

No one could have anticipated that the Gold Goose Sect's sect master and the Poison Sect's sect master, both invited by the Three Elders of Mu Lan, would turn on each other. The latter had even launched a surprise attack, gravely injuring the former!

The sudden shift left the audience overwhelmed with confusion. Yan Luotian, suppressing the pain in his chest, couldn't help but question angrily.

Even the Three Elders of Mu Lan swiftly intervened, positioning themselves between Xiao Yixian and Yan Luotian, their expressions tense.

The lion-headed elder's face darkened as he quickly spoke, attempting to mediate:

"Poison Sect Master, since the three of us have formed an alliance, why would you suddenly ambush Sect Master Yan? This is a breach of trust! If you have concerns over the distribution of benefits, we can discuss them openly. Why resort to such underhanded actions?"

The Poison Sect Master's sudden attack stunned everyone present, including the Three Elders of Mu Lan, who were bewildered by her motives. They could only assume it stemmed from dissatisfaction with the Gold Goose Sect's share in the alliance.

Xiao Yixian, however, simply retracted her delicate hand, her face calm and indifferent. Her gray-purple eyes gleamed coldly, devoid of any explanation.

Her silence left the Three Elders of Mu Lan and Yan Luotian momentarily stunned, their expressions growing increasingly grim.

Despite being a recently ascendant figure on the northwest continent, the Poison Sect Master, known as the "Heavenly Poison Lady," had already surpassed old powerhouses like Mu Lan Valley and the Gold Goose Sect in both strength and influence.

Faced with her inexplicable betrayal, both the elders and Yan Luotian were furious yet dared not act rashly.

Yan Luotian, in particular, was filled with both anger and fear. Gravely wounded by Xiao Yixian's sudden strike, his aura was now weak and chaotic.

Even worse, the poison-laden green lightning left by her attack was wreaking havoc within his body.

Though Yan Luotian was a Dou Zong-level expert, he struggled to expel the venomous lightning that coursed through him.

"There's poison in her strike!" Yan Luotian grimaced in pain as he clenched his teeth, mustering all his Dou Qi to resist the destructive force within.

The faces of the Three Elders of Mu Lan turned even darker at his words. Though they couldn't discern the exact nature of Yan Luotian's internal injuries, his feeble state was plain to see.

Before the battle had even begun, one of their Dou Zong-level allies had betrayed them, and another had been incapacitated. This turn of events filled the elders with dread.

Realizing the precariousness of their situation, the elders instinctively turned their gazes toward the silver-eyed youth in the distance.

Noticing this shift, Mo Yu smirked coldly, his silver wings flickering as he flew to Xiao Yixian's side.

Seeing her familiar yet changed demeanor, Mo Yu couldn't help but recall their days of training in the Magic Beast Mountain Range. With a smile, he said:

"Xiao Yixian, it's been a long time. You've changed quite a bit."

Hearing her long-forgotten name from Mo Yu's mouth, Xiao Yixian's body trembled slightly. Her gray-purple eyes flickered as she removed the veil covering her face, revealing her stunningly beautiful features.

A rare, dazzling smile spread across Xiao Yixian's face as she softly replied, "Mo Yu, it's been a long time. You've changed quite a bit too."

Years ago, when Xiao Yixian and Mo Yu first met, they had been mere youths embarking on their journeys.

In just a few short years, both had undergone earth-shaking transformations in strength and status.

As Xiao Yixian gazed into Mo Yu's enigmatic silver eyes, her curiosity grew. What had he experienced over these years?

While the two exchanged greetings, the atmosphere among the crowd grew increasingly chaotic.

On both sides of the conflict, whether the Jia Ma Empire's alliance or Mu Lan Valley's forces, everyone stared at the duo in shock.

Mo Yu and the Heavenly Poison Lady knew each other—and were clearly quite close!

Yan Luotian and the Three Elders of Mu Lan were utterly incredulous.

"How is this possible? How does the Heavenly Poison Lady know that little brat Mo Yu?"

Many had speculated about Xiao Yixian's mysterious origins, believing her rapid rise to dominance in the Chu Yun Empire was due to her being a favored disciple of some hidden elder.

However, no one had ever connected her to the Jia Ma Empire, much less imagined that she and Mo Yu shared such a connection.

Unbeknownst to them, a small town in the Magic Beast Mountain Range had produced not one but two peerless experts.

Yan Luotian, though, was consumed by regret.

"Damn it! If I had known she was aligned with the Jia Ma Empire, I wouldn't have gotten involved in this mess!"

His chest burned with the poison mark left by Xiao Yixian's attack. If he didn't find a cure soon, even as the strongest in the Falling Goose Empire, he might meet his end here.

On the Jia Ma Empire's side, Hai Bodong let out a sigh of relief as he loosened his clenched fists.

"Who would've thought Mo Yu and the Poison Sect Master knew each other? This changes everything," he muttered.

Hearing this, Jia Xingtian and the others nodded, their tension easing as they turned their gazes skyward.

Xiao Yixian's "Corrosive Poison Demon Hand" had left them with a chilling sense of helplessness, one even Yun Shan hadn't evoked.

Yet instead of attacking Mo Yu, she had turned on Yan Luotian.

The swift turn of events left everyone confused until Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian's exchange made everything clear.

Mu Lan Valley had invited its own doom, inadvertently summoning an ally of their enemy.

Meanwhile, at a secluded altar, Yun Yun had broken free from Yun Shan's restraints.

Standing beside her was a black-robed man—none other than the Pill King, Gu He.

"Gu He, thank you," Yun Yun said gratefully.

"There's no need for thanks," Gu He replied with a faint smile. "You should thank Mo Yu. If not for his disruption, I wouldn't have been able to stop Yun Shan's plans."

Looking at Mo Yu leading the charge against the Yun Lan Sect, Gu He knew he had lost.

Whether in Yun Yun's heart or in strength and position, he had been thoroughly defeated by the younger man.

"Gu He, you…" Yun Yun began, biting her lip.

"There's no need to say anything," Gu He interrupted, shaking his head. "This was your choice, and I respect it."

Turning his gaze toward Mo Yu in the sky, Gu He added, "I have my own path to follow. I'll honor my promises to him."

"Yun Yun, Mo Yu is indeed a good choice. I wish you two happiness in the future.

But let me remind you—this kid is quite the butterfly magnet. You'll need to keep an eye on him, especially since you're not even his main wife yet."

After speaking, Gu He glanced playfully at Xiao Yixian standing beside Mo Yu, said a few teasing words, and then turned around to leave. It seemed rescuing Yun Yun had fulfilled his last lingering wish.

Watching Gu He's departing figure, Yun Yun was momentarily dazed before letting out a soft sigh.

After so many years, how could she not see through Gu He's feelings? However, her heart had always been set on cultivation, not on romantic entanglements.

That was until the boy in the Magic Beast Mountain Range accidentally barged into her life, allowing her to taste the sweetness of emotions for the first time...

Thinking of this, Yun Yun looked toward the handsome young man in the sky and found herself unable to look away.

Her gaze lingered on that familiar face. Compared to three years ago, it had shed its boyish immaturity and gained a sense of mature restraint. Clearly, in these three years, the once-young boy had undergone a complete transformation.

But when her eyes shifted to Xiao Yixian standing beside Mo Yu, Gu He's earlier warning echoed in her mind. Her delicate brows furrowed slightly, and she murmured,

"This Sect Leader of the Poison Sect… what exactly is her relationship with Mo Yu?"

In the sky, after chatting with Xiao Yixian for a while, Mo Yu finally noticed the many gazes directed at them.

"Haha, let's save the rest for after we deal with the current situation," Mo Yu said, patting his head with a light laugh.

"Mm. Initially, I came here curious about the Mu Lan Elders' plan, but I didn't expect to run into you. It seems they're just out of luck," Xiao Yixian said with a faint smile.

The ruthless and decisive Heavenly Poison Lady who struck fear into the world still retained the carefree innocence of a young girl when facing Mo Yu.

Seeing this, Mo Yu couldn't help but feel emotional. It seemed he had surpassed Xiao Yan from the original story in this regard.

In the original work, although Xiao Yan recognized Xiao Yixian, years of torment from the Woeful Poison Body had made her colder in both mind and methods.

Even when Xiao Yan tried to appeal to her feelings, it took a long time before her heart softened. Ultimately, it was the protagonist's halo, combined with Xiao Yan's ability to resolve her Woeful Poison Body, that allowed her to gradually break free from its shadow.

However, Mo Yu had preemptively placed the Profound Yin Poison Demon Thunder in Xiao Yixian's body. While this accelerated her strength growth compared to the original timeline, it also deepened her trust and gratitude toward him.

Hearing the conversation between Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian, the faces of the Mu Lan Elders and Yan Luotian turned dark with anger.

What was initially a secure three-on-one victory had turned into a two-on-two stalemate. To make matters worse, Xiao Yixian's earlier ambush had rendered Yan Luotian incapable of fighting.

As a result, the scales of battle tilted entirely in Mo Yu's favor!

"Heh, Mu Lan Elders, I return your words back to you. If you surrender now, I might let you die a little more peacefully," Mo Yu said with a playful smile.

Hearing this, the faces of the Mu Lan Elders turned grim, their eyes blazing with fury.

But just as Mo Yu seemed poised to achieve an overwhelming victory, a sudden change on Xiao Yan's side drew everyone's attention.

"Protector Wu, reveal yourself!"

Faced with Yao Lao's overwhelming attack, Yun Shan clearly couldn't hold out any longer and hastily called for reinforcements.

As his voice fell, a massive surge of black mist erupted from the Yun Lan Sect's main hall below. The black mist swiftly gathered in the sky, forming a pitch-black fog mass several meters wide.

Seeing the black mist appear, Mo Yu's expression shifted slightly. He seemed to recognize something.

"What is that?"

The appearance of the black mist caused a stir among the Yun Lan Sect disciples below.

Their gazes were filled with confusion and fear. When had such a sinister figure hidden within their sect without anyone noticing?

At the main platform, Yun Yun's beautiful face reflected her shock as she stared at the black fog. Her thoughts raced, and a faint unease arose in her heart.

This sudden turn of events also dampened the joy Hai Bodong and others had just been feeling.

They could faintly sense the power of this black fog, and most importantly, it was clear that this eerie individual was on Yun Shan's side.

If so, the advantage Xiao Yixian's defection had created would be entirely negated.

"Another powerful presence? Who is this guy?"

Sending a Yun Lan Sect Dou Huang reeling with a single palm, Jia Xingtian scowled and shouted to Hai Bodong.

The unexpected appearance of one formidable character after another had turned the Jia Ma Empire into a chaotic battlefield. At his advanced age, Jia Xingtian found this development deeply frustrating.

"No idea," Hai Bodong replied, shaking his head. Then, after forcing back his own opponent with a sudden strike, he added solemnly,

"No matter what, the Xiao Clan's Twin Dragons still have a good chance. Even if Xiao Yan falls short, once Brother Mo finishes his side, the battle's outcome is still undecided. We just need to handle the Yun Lan Sect and Mu Lan Valley forces."

"Got it."

Hearing this, Jia Xingtian and Fa Ma nodded heavily. At such a critical juncture, none dared to hold back, unleashing their Dou Qi to its fullest.

The chaotic battlefield grew even more fierce and intense.

The black mist, oblivious to the tension around it, let out a chilling laugh that echoed across the skies like a raven's cry.

"Jie jie… such a lively scene. I wonder how many delicious souls I can harvest this time... "
