Chapter 471: Hyper Miku (3)

"Miku, can you help me with it? Never mind, I'll just get it myself," called a voice from the bathroom.

To prevent the person inside from coming out undressed, Sui quickly ran over to the sofa and grabbed the freshly dried bathrobe. Just as he reached the bathroom door, however, it swung open, and a girl with long, waist-length hair stepped out.

She had a graceful figure—long legs, a slender waist, a full chest—and her damp hair hung loosely down her back. Droplets of water sparkled on her smooth, fair skin, trailing from her neck to her ankles.

Sui gulped, a nervous bead of sweat forming on his forehead. He stared at her in shock, unsure which of the Nakano sisters she was. They all looked quite similar, after all. However, both Ichika and Yotsuba had short hair, and she couldn't be Miku. It had to be either Nino or Itsuki.

The girl narrowed her eyes slightly, gazing at Sui for a moment.

Just as Sui felt like he might forget to breathe, she took the bathrobe from his hands, wrapped it around herself casually, and complained, "You're such an idiot. You only fetched it for me after I came out."

Huh?

Sui was perplexed. What was up with her? Shouldn't she have screamed in surprise? 'Is she extremely nearsighted?'

The girl, now wrapped in the robe, walked over to the sofa, crossed her long legs, and began blow-drying her hair. The room filled with the pleasant scent of shampoo, mingling with the subtle fragrance of a young girl.

"Why are you standing there like a fool? Aren't you going back to your room?" she said lightly while drying her hair.

Sui, gritting his teeth, walked upstairs and knocked on Miku's door. He remembered their rooms from his last visit and was sure this one was hers.

After a short pause, Miku opened the door. She had headphones on and appeared to be playing a game she had just bought. She looked surprised to see him.

"Sui, why are you here?" she asked, clearly puzzled.

"Let me come in first, and I'll explain," Sui replied.

Miku nodded, stepping aside to let him in.

"How's your ankle?" Sui asked once inside.

"It's better, the swelling has gone down a bit," Miku answered, her face turning slightly red as she nodded.

"Good. I brought back your stockings," Sui said, tossing the two balls of black silk stockings to her.

"Ah..." Miku softly gasped, catching the stockings, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Thanks."

After a moment, Sui hesitated before asking, "By the way, are any of your sisters nearsighted?"

"Nino is very nearsighted. Why do you ask?" Miku replied, her expression a little curious.

Sui felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Oh, no reason," he said, smiling awkwardly. 'So it was Nino after all.'

"Alright then, I'll head out," he said, opening the door—only to freeze when he saw Itsuki sitting on the sofa, chatting and laughing with Nino.

Sui swiftly closed the door again, his heart racing.

[Note: Nino and Ichika]

While Nino might be too nearsighted to recognize him, Itsuki wasn't. If Itsuki saw him, Nino would definitely figure out who handed her the bathrobe earlier.

"Sui, what's going on?" Miku asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Um... Miku, can I stay in your room for a bit longer?" Sui asked, guilt creeping into his voice.

Miku misunderstood his intentions. Her face flushed bright red, and she turned away in embarrassment, steam practically rising from her head. "If Sui really wants to stay, I don't mind," she muttered shyly, her voice soft and flustered.

Seeing her misunderstanding, Sui quickly clarified, "No, no, you've got it all wrong! Nino asked you to grab her bathrobe, and then, well, she walked out while I was holding it, and... I accidentally saw her—"

He explained the situation in a hurry.

"Of course, she came out first. I didn't mean to look," Sui added, nervously eyeing Miku, worried that she might be upset.

Miku stared at him for a moment before puffing her cheeks in mock anger. "You should atone for this. Seppuku would be appropriate," she said, jealousy tinging her voice.

Sui was at a loss. "I swear it wasn't on purpose!"

"Well, it's up to you now," Miku huffed, walking over to her chair and sitting down, putting on her headphones and resuming her game, effectively ignoring him.

Feeling awkward, Sui sat in Miku's room, occasionally peeking out to check if the coast was clear in the living room. But each time he checked, Nino and Itsuki were still there, laughing and chatting with no sign of leaving.

[Note: Itsuki]

As time passed, Sui's patience wore thin. Half an hour had gone by, and Miku continued playing her game, still sulking. Meanwhile, Nino and Itsuki showed no intention of wrapping up their conversation.

Suddenly, Sui felt something light hit his chest. He looked down to see a bag of potato chips and glanced up at Miku.

"Thanks," he said, grateful.

"Hmph," Miku pouted, turning her head away with a touch of pride.

Another half hour crawled by. Miku tossed him a can of soda next, though her proud "hmph" accompanied every little act of kindness.

By the time evening rolled around, Sui was feeling defeated. 'Am I going to be stuck in Miku's room forever?' he thought in frustration. 'Will I have to rely on her for food from now on?'

Just then, he heard a door close in the next room. Sui's eyes widened in hope. 'Did Itsuki finally head to her room?'

He quietly opened the door to peek and found that Nino was now alone in the living room.

Miku, noticing, took off her headphones and stood up. "Are you ready to leave? I'll walk you out," she said calmly.
