Sebastian’s POV

The day started as usual, with me arriving at the office early. There were several important documents that required my signature, and I wanted to get everything done before the day became chaotic. As I sat in my chair, reviewing the first batch of papers, my phone buzzed on the desk. The screen lit up, displaying Tom’s name.

I answered with a brisk tone. "Yes, Tom?"

“Sir, Miss Petal arrived 10 minutes late today,” he informed me.

I hummed in acknowledgment and hung up the call. It wasn’t unusual for Petal to be late, especially after a long day like yesterday. She had gone shopping and probably exhausted herself. My girl was so fragile, delicate like a flower, and that’s exactly how I liked her. She needed someone to protect her, someone to love her in the way I did. No one could ever understand her the way I did, and no one ever would.
