“Well, that blood was indeed of great quality but, unless you have such quantity of it, enough to feed the whole blood kingdom tonight, I am afraid this humans are still coming with me.” Vera stated. 


“I do.” Kurtz replied and the royal Vampire stared on at him wordless for a moment. 


“You do?” Vera eventually asked with a smirk, “even if you do, unless you could get it all here in minutes, your offer still doesn’t offset the risks. The Blood Kingdom could be under an attack as we speak.” Vera said again. 


“System, place a call to Linda.” Kurtz spoke in his mind and soon, a tired looking Linda emerged on a screen only he could see. 


“Linda, how is everything on your end.” Kurtz asked, wondering if to speak about Linda’s tired face. But thinking more, he decided not to, Linda was a researcher and most of the time, always looked roughen up. Moreover, his call had probably waked her from her sleep.
