Chapter 39: Confession

"There is something I have to tell you," Marcellus whispered. Not wanting to speak but knowing that the lies would just build a ledge between them.

"I am listening," snuggled in Marcellus's arms, Chavu looked like he belonged. The Naga had never killed anyone, unlike Marcellus. That weighed heavily on Marcellus's mind.

"The reason behind the system, tricking me into servitude, was..." Marcellus began, and Chavu sucked in a breath.

"System, undo this travesty right now. Give Marcellus the standard package," Chavu demanded.

"And, why not?" Chavu snapped. How could the system force someone into servitude like that? For how long has it been going on?

Chavu heard a beep in his head, which told him the system had logged off. He grumbled under his nose about it for a whole minute, and then turned to Marcellus.
