Chapter 40: Things are not as bleak as they seem.

A gnome approached Goglina with a platter. Some water and bread balanced on top of it. The female goblin couldn't understand why the gnomes were even feeding her. The system was still injecting mana into her stomach.

That had been the reason why she could run as far away as she had. For, Goglina had not had the time to forage. Still, the goblin took the platter and began to eat.

The bread had ham inside it and was still warm from the oven. It even had some cheese inside. Goglina savored every bite. The gnome pulled out a blueberry from his pocket and began to eat it.

Goglina bared her teeth at the small, green-haired, creature, and he shivered. Yet, the gnome stood his ground. Had Goglina not been bound to feel pain every time she so much as raised a hand against the little humanoids, she would have shoved the gnome to the ground and taught him a lesson.
