Very good start. So far the characters are pretty human feeling and have a decent framework for future development with their flaws and interactions. I also am very much liking the cute slice of life moments that this has primarily been so far. Always can use more cute slice of life. :) There isn’t really any major flaws that I can see so far and overall the writing quality seems pretty good but we shall see if that continues throughout the story as it progresses. There is only one thing that I think might be relevant to critique about so far and that is that Cali seems to not be very curious about her new abilities and features. If I could suddenly fluently read kanji out of nowhere I would be immediately checking if I could read any language or if there was some sort of pattern or restrictions on that ability. Also what about different coding languages? They are essentially the same thing as normal languages just structured in a way that makes it easier to interact with computers. What about sign language? Etc… I think you get what I mean. Also what about her eyes? Did they change to give her that retro reflective effect on the inside of her pupils for night vision? And how are her habits changing? I would 100% recommend having her start writing a journal and document these types of changes and her thoughts on them. Thanks for writing this, you’re doing great. :)
