159. Arena

Rain looks at the sandy ground in front of him behind the Iron Gate, looks around, and thinks," That he is in a prison."

Finding that he is in a gladiator arena, he looks around but no one is in the stands, and at times, he hears heavy footsteps. He watches from the opposite iron gate; a medieval knight walks out with his full body armor and a double-hand large sword.

Knight stares at him for a man and then charges him. Rain draws his sword out, meets Knight's sword, and is pushed back. Knight's strength is stronger than his, and he wants his speed to gain an advantage, but finds that Knight's speed matches his.

Rain believed that wearing full-body armor would slow the knight. The knight wearing full body armor, except for the holes in his face for his eyes and nose, his sword even lands, does not cause much damage. The knight's strength is stronger than that of him, and speed matches him.

He finds that the knight's sword skill also matches him; Rain knows if the fight goes on like this, he will lose. He tries to mobilize his genetic energy to defeat the knight but finds that he cannot mobilize his genetic energy.

Old-world rules require that genetic energy be effective. Therefore, he only has the vitality rule, which lacks offensive power. He slowly steps back as he defends against knight attacks.

He returns to unload the power behind the attack. To avoid his back touching the arena wall, he must devise a way to defeat the knight before then. He then remembered his sword technique after the spring rain. He did not stop comprehending the rules inside the rain stone.

He suddenly became confused as approximately 12 days of memory flashed in his mind. He recalls being in various regions where he honed his skills: a desert for genetic energy control, a snowscape for mastering the Life Vine technique, a thunder region for refining his energy, a crystal dust region to enhance his body, a barren world to learn vitality sealing, a blood region for a practice method, and a gladiator arena where he combined the Rain rule with his sword.

After receiving the memory, He sits down and starts to meditate. There is no improvement in his body other than control of genetic energy, mastering the live vine technique, and how to apply rain rule with his body and sword. 

He feels his sword technique advanced to a late D-rank technique, the sword technique was supported by only sharp rules now the rain rule also supports the technique. If he can combine the rain rule and sharp rule the technique may advance to peak D-rank technique.

The other three improvements are physical and the improvements were in illusion. So, they are not reflected in the body. To reflect on the improvement, he has to practice them. He cannot find thunder or black crystal to help practice here. But he remembered how his body and genetic energy improved.

And now with the ability to control his cells, he can bring the improvement in reality.

Thinking of this, Rain gets started while meditating, eats an energy pill, and refines his genetic energy according to his memory. He practices this for half an hour and stops. Because one day already passed and there is only one day left to get out of the weird domain.

Rain's curiosity rears his head hearing this. He wants how his experience differs from hers. So, he tells her about his experience crossing the river," My first step was Sand storm, then Snowstorm, thunderstorm, crystal storm, barren land, blood domain, and an arena."

He then explains what happens in them.

Helen nodded while listening, and then told her experience," My first step was Barren Land, then Iron Dust storm, Curse domain, Lava domain, blood Domain, and an arena."

Rain then listened to her experience in a barren land, blood domain, and the arena was similar to his with only enemy according to her realm blood domain, and arena. In the arena, her opponent were Knights but corpses where her poison rules were ineffective. She had to mobilize Vitality rules to defeat the corpses.

In the Iron Dust storm her body was turning into metal, In the curse domain, curses act on her, she had to sever the connection of the curse acting on her body with land with sharp rule and in the Lava domain she had to master the ripple body technique, so she can stop the lava from landing on her body and in blood domain, she also got a technique named Curse Mark practice method.

The technique that he got is called Seven Revolution of Dead Blood. He received the memory of the technique but he did not watch the memory. 

Rain smiled hearing her chosen rule of sharpness," We can exchange experience of rule of sharpness." His rules of sharpness come from the rule of the sword in the star immortal world, whereas she is from this world.

Helen also smiles upon hearing this, her understanding of sharp rule enters a bottleneck, and Rain's experience can help her break the bottleneck. She had seen Rain's use of sharp rule which is completely different from her. 

She speaks," Then, we will set a date to meet after going out of the weird domain."

Rain nodded and then asked," You choose the ripple rule as the second old world rule to comprehend."

Helen nods," Yes, it will increase the power of my poison rule."

Rain and Helen start walking toward the mountain discussing the old world rules. Old-world rules are the rules of the world before the cataclysm. But after the cataclysm, they are being assimilated by the radiation energy. Like the Gravity rule is assimilated by Earth rules, the Sharp rule is assimilated by Metal rules.

They are comprehending the old world rules to stop the radiation energy from assimilating them. Because the people who created the radiation practice system discovered that radiation energy is mixed with weird energy. The old world rules stop the weird energy from spreading around the world.

And this is also the reason for radiation energy being poisonous to humans, But, after they advance to B-rank their bodies are no different from radiation beasts. So, to stop weirdness from influencing them, they used the domain they formed by two old rules, to remove the weirdness from the radiation energy they absorbed and their body.

And when they advanced to A-rank their body turned to a source of radiation energy without any weird energy. Rain's daydreaming was cut short as he and Helen walked into a clearing.

The sight in the clearing made them stop. In the middle of the clearing stands two males and a female wearing the clothes of patients. Rain also spots stitch marks on their skin and their lifeless eyes.

And when their lifeless eyes spot them, they let out an inhuman roar and released their aura, which made Rain frown. Because of their aura, the three are in the quasi-C-rank realm and are running toward them.

Helen says, "I handle two of them."
