Chapter 93

This whole expedition was in a hurry, but the last thing Ruslanov could lack was money.

So the siblings went to the airport. Meanwhile, while Anton was driving, Sophie was trying to find empty seats on the plane heading towards Luka's final location.

Luckily for them, there were a few business class seats available.

Sophie immediately booked seats and a moment later she received a confirmation email.

Much calmer, she began to wonder why Antonio did it.

Zick learned that the man had started hiding his son a few days after Bethany introduced Vasili as her partner in their company.

Since no one was paying attention to it, no one took a closer look at it.

At that time, Sophie couldn't think about finding her brother because she was in a lot of trouble with everything else.

"Could Vasili have something to do with this?" Sophie asked aloud, wanting to hear what Anton thought about it.

"Maybe Antonio didn't want to cooperate and Vasili threatened him with his successor? But Forzani wasn't the type to care about the fate of his children... apart from Bethany, of course. Why then? And why is he still doing it? He definitely found out that Vasili died" Sophie, frowning, ran her hand through her hair nervously.

"He didn't necessarily do it because of Vasili. He could have had another reason." Equally wondering, Anton doesn't know what could be his purpose in this.

"After he left the business to his daughter, he sat quietly for a while, helping her in the early days. However, when Vasili convinced her to cooperate, Antonio left the country. Zick didn't find his reason for leaving as he hadn't contacted anyone all week. Antonio acted like he was on vacation. He has not contacted or met anyone. He hid himself in one of the hotels and didn't come out all this time. Then the whole thing with Luka came out. Suddenly he started changing the boy's identity and traveling from country to country." Anton explained everything he knew to his sister.

The whole situation was getting weirder and weirder. Looking at her, the man suspected another possibility.

However, he didn't want to reveal this to her as it would make Sophie unnecessarily nervous.

Antonio was a cunning old fox who held a grudge like no one else.

When he found out about Bethany's disappearance, he could have concluded that it was Sophie's fault.

Since she had promised Luka that she would find him, Antonio could have done it on purpose and hidden her brother from her....planning revenge.

This whole trip could be an ambush.

So, with this option in mind, Anton decided to go with Sophie and keep an eye on her.

For their safety, he took with him several well-trained men who followed them in secret.

Zick also kept an eye on them while she tried to pinpoint Luka's exact location.

Don had a few connections where the siblings went. In case of an accident, he was to contact them and ask for help.

All in all, Don had contacts in many countries and was one of the most respected and feared by everyone.

Therefore, he had many enemies but also allies like Ruslanov, but he was not as famous as them.

He wasn't involved in business and politics like they were.

Anton also had connections with groups from various countries.

So they weren't driving blindly into the lion's mouth. They were prepared for various situations.

Arriving at the airport and having half an hour to check in, the siblings went to eat something leisurely and some time later they sat down in their seats on the plane.

The flight didn't last very long. Unfortunately, long enough for Luka to be lost again.

When getting off the plane, Anton received a message from Zick that the trail had broken off again.

Very likely, Sophie's brother has already left this country.

Sophie wasn't sad when she heard the news.

"Let's go check his last location. Maybe we'll find something there" She said, fully determined to find her younger brother.

They rented a car at the airport and went to the place where Luka was last located.

It was a small hotel on the edge of town, unobtrusive.

Sophie and Anton immediately went to the reception and started asking about Luca and Antonio.

Sophie had photos of both men and the receptionist quickly recognized them.

"They left this morning. They were obviously in a hurry because the father was dragging the boy to the car, shouting that they didn't have time" The woman announced, looking at a pair of incredibly beautiful twins.

"Can we see their room?" Anton smiled at the smitten receptionist, who instantly blushed and gave them the key.

Sophie just rolled her eyes and took it from the woman and they went to check the room.

The cleaning lady hasn't been there yet.

The room looked as if someone had left it in a hurry.

Anton began to look carefully around the room but was unable to find anything.

Sophie, unlike her brother, went to the bed and started pulling pillows out of their cases, obviously looking for something.

"What are you doing?" Anton, surprised, walked up to her and looked at his sister.

"When I lived with Luka, he liked to leave me messages in my pillowcases. Maybe this time..."

Sophie didn't finish speaking when a folded piece of paper fell into her lap.

Seeing this, the woman quickly grabbed the paper and started reading aloud.

'I still hope you found one of them. If you found it, I'm very happy. I managed to overhear dad. I don't know where we'll go again, but for now my name is Felix. A day, maybe two, and I'll change my name and location again. Please, Sophie, find me quickly. I miss you, Luka'

As soon as Sophie finished reading the note, Anton was already contacting Zick.

"Search the next flights. There may be a boy on one of them, ten or eleven years old, named Felix."

"On it" Zick quickly took action.

The siblings could only hope that Antonio had hurriedly boarded the next plane and not gone somewhere by car.

Then it would be a little more difficult, but at least they already had a name.

That was enough for Zick to be able to find something.

"Got him!"

"Where?"

"They're at the airport. They're leaving in ten minutes. I'll connect to the cameras now."

Zick, working quickly on the keyboard, got into the airport's system and started looking through the cameras.

A dozen or so seconds later, a photo of Luka appeared on Sophie's phone.

"Luka..."
