Chapter 81

Lucifer was fighting a horde of zombie mutant deers.

No really, freaking zombie deers with glowing red eyes and a taste for blood.

A buck with long and sharp antlers and half of its flesh gone from its body charged at him with its head down, antlers pointed at him like a knight holding onto a jousting pole.

Lucifer easily side-stepped and that young buck instead ran into a fellow buck and their antlers got all tangled up. Lucifer then turned two zombie bucks into piles of dust and ashes.

Lucifer side-kicked a doe and then brought down his leg on another buck that tried to sneak up on him.

The buck went down quickly as Lucifer's leg connected with its head.

Lucifer could finally take a small breather as the other zombie deer were too scared and wary of him to come any closer now-at least for now.

Lucinda was holding out on her own very well against the hybrid monster.

It had the body of a lion but the face of a wolf and the tail of a scorpion. Oh, it could also breathe fire like a dragon and its body was tough and solid like iron.

But that didn't mean that Lucinda couldn't land some serious damage to it.

That thing opened up its mouth and slewed out some flames. Lucinda leaped into the air to avoid it, gracefully spinning and twirling in the air, she then came flying back down to earth.

Where her fist connected with the chimera and resulted in the chimera's spine being broken in half and an earthquake to happen. The ground shook and rumbled and a bunch of dust was kicked up.

The chimera never got back up again. Lucinda wiped off her dress and looked rather pleased with herself.

Lucifer grinned in "proud big brother watching his little sister kick ass"".

As expected of a member of the royal family with the blood of the demon king flowing through her veins.

She was strong and powerful.

Wait, as the dust started to clear up, his sharp eyes caught something.

A figure falling down to the ground from the sky. It was a girl and that girl was Arya.

She had to be at least a mile away.

But a mile was nothing to someone with royal demon blood in their veins.

Lucifer took off running, covering 30 feet in a second.

He leaped up into the air and caught Arya before she fell to the ground.

He then sped back with her in his arms.

She didn't look good. She was sweating despite the chilly weather and she looked pale.

Worst of all was her left hand, all black and looked like it was rotting away.

Arya weakly looked up at him, her body weakened but she still had some fight left in her.

"Poison…poisoned knife…"

Poison. That was all he needed to hear.

A poison that eats away at the flesh of a living creature. Hydra's Tears. Highly deadly and incurable. Causes almost instant death in a matter of minutes. The trade and sale of this poison was illegal and banned with punishments ranging from anywhere from life in prison to death.

The only known way to save someone poisoned with Hydra's Tears was to…cut off the infected limb or flesh or wherever it was that the poison was spreading from.

Arya's brilliant green eyes were still bright and shining.

"I'm fine…Lucifer….My healing powers….I can handle this…"

So she hadn't died yet because of that.

But she was only buying herself time.

"I need to cut off that hand of yours in order for you to live."

Arya was quiet for some time then nodded. Her face was calm and accepting.

She may have been a human but she was strong and a warrior.

….

Lucinda raced over to her brother who was carrying the human princess in his arms bridal style.

Arya leaned her up against a tree and he picked up one of her swords.

"Lucy, take her left hand and stretch it out for me."

Lucinda was confused.

"Hurry, she doesn't have a lot of time left."

Lucinda noticed her blackened and rotting left hand as Lucifer stretched it out for her.

Lucinda instantly knew what was going on.

She held out Arya's left hand as Lucifer brought down the sword onto her hand.

Lucifer wished he had a fire to heat up the sword so it would be quicker and less painful but there was no time to waste.

Arya didn't cry out in pain but seemed rather calm and collected instead.

A bright green light covered the stump of her arm where her hand once was and Arya was regenerating her lost hand.

"ROOOAAARRR!!!!"

That loud roar shook the trees and ground and caused a bad avalanche somewhere in the distance.

All of the zombie deers recovered now. That monster chimera was back onto its feet.

Oh, they had reinforcements as well.

Zombie mutant bears, monster wolves, and a hoard of evil and blood thirsty demons and other such nasties who should have remained locked up.
