RAVENNA POV
I cupped Darius' face and kissed him harder when he hesitated to kiss me back. After a few moments, his tongue slipped into my mouth and he deepened the kiss.
He left the ground and climbed into the bed, laying me on my back and he climbed on top of me. He sucked my bottom lips before he bit it gently, causing me to moan.
I tugged on his shirt and he broke the kiss to pull it off. He kissed me as he took off his remaining clothes before he took off mine.
His lips trailed down to my nipples but I fisted his hair and dragged his head up so he could look at me. "No time for that. Just fuck me." I wanted to feel him, wanted to feel if this was real. I wanted to know that I wasn't in that cell and this wasn't just a dream.
Darius studied me for a while before he kissed me again, softly, and positioned himself on my entrance. He pulled away to look down at me as he pushed slowly inside.
The both of us moaned at the same time and I struggled to keep my eyes open.
Darius pushed all the way in and moved his hips slowly but deeply. He leaned down to kiss me softly before he pulled slightly and looked into my eyes.
"You're here," I whispered, tears slipping out of my eyes.
"I'm here, my love," he answered softly.
Darius remained still for a moment, his forehead resting gently against mine as if savoring the closeness.
His breath was soft against my skin, and his hands traced the contours of my body with a reverence that made my heart race. There was nothing rushed about this—everything felt deliberate as if each movement was meant to reassure me, to show me that this was real.
I whispered his name, the sound barely escaping my lips, and he responded by kissing me again, slow and tender as if time itself had slowed to accommodate us.
His hands roamed down my body, exploring every inch, reminding me with each touch that I was here with him, fully, completely.
He moved again, slow, deliberate, and steady, his body aligned with mine.
"I'll spend the rest of my life deserving of your love, Ravenna," he vowed, his voice sounding choked. "I'll change and make sure I'm worthy of your love."
I held his face gently before I kissed him. I broke the kiss and said, "Never change, Darius. Never. You're more than worthy. You're perfect." I kissed his lips. "Worthy." His cheeks. "Mine."
"Ravenna…" That was so he could say as he leaned his forehead on mine, eyes closed, tears rolling from his face and into mine.
I held him as his body trembled and his thrusts faltered. He opened his eyes again and looked deeply into my eyes. "I love you."
"I love you."
He kissed me deeply and his hips moved faster. My hands were tight around his back as I moaned into his mouth, my back arching. Darius pulled away from me with a groan. "Fuck, baby, I'm close," he grunted, head thrown back.
His hands went between our bodies and he circled my clit. I came with a loud cry, my body shaking. Darius followed off the edge, his thrusts fast and hard.
He collapsed on top of me but not hard enough to crush me with his weight, kissing anywhere he could reach.
He pulled away and cleaned us both before he came back to bed and pulled me against him, the blanket around us.
Darius held my hand and slipped something on my finger. No, not something. It was the ring.
I looked at the jewel with blurry vision. "I thought I lost it."
"No, you didn't," Darius replied softly.
I placed my head on his chest, enjoying the beat of his heart. He was here, I was out of that cell and we were both alive. I couldn't have asked for anything else.

When Darius had finally let me out of our room, the others were immediately on me.
Mia had hugged me for ten minutes straight and cried all through that ten minutes, saying words I couldn't hear over her tears.
When she had finally pulled away, Dalian had been next. But he kept his hug short. When he pulled away I could see he was fighting tears, so I pulled him back to me and he let those tears fall.
Lucian was the next in line. You could only imagine the look on everyone's face when he hugged me. I immediately got over my shock and hugged him back. He pulled away seconds later and disappeared from the room.
And next, I went to see my people. They had followed us back to Darius' territory, the women that were imprisoned in Rowan's pack, included.
I didn't ask Darius what happened after Rowan's death. I didn't want to think of it, but I had a good idea that Lilith and Joseph were dead. I won't admit it to anybody, but it made my chest tighten.
They were once my friends, they gave me a home at that time in my life where I was confused and helpless. So I felt their death deep within me, and I would carry that with me for as long as I lived. I would still cherish the memories of our friendship.
My people were settling in well. Darius had given them land and they were already building on it. When they saw me, almost all of them hugged me. If I had only tears left I would have cried, but I have exhausted my tears with how long I've been crying.
When the whole reunion was done, I finally went to my cabin. True to his words, Darius had left me alone. So I was currently sitting in the library with a book in my lap, though I didn't read it.
I searched for that presence deep inside me and almost cried when I found her. Darius had told me that a witch had locked my wolf away from me by Rowan's order. That same witch has been the one to unlock it.
Now I could feel her, I could finally rest. I curled deeper into the couch and opened my book.

"I'm getting married," I said to Mia with a smile on my face.
Mia looked back at me from the mirror with her own smile. "Yeah, you are."
It's been three days since I came back to the pack. Darius said he couldn't wait any longer for the marriage and honestly, I couldn't either. So we were getting married today.
I looked at my reflection, my silver hair flowing in soft waves down my back. The dress clung gently to my figure, the ivory fabric simple but elegant, with delicate lace tracing my shoulders.
I wasn't as nervous as I was during my ascension ceremony. Maybe it was because no heavy burden was being placed on me. I was going to be Darius' wife. There was nothing to be nervous about there.
I nodded at Mia. "Alright, let's get going. I'm eager to get married."
Mia laughed softly before she walked to the door and I followed. Like before, Dalian was there. He kissed my forehead and led me outside to the waiting car, and we drove to the venue. This time it was a clearing that had been set up, with the setting sun giving a fairytale glow to it.
When I got out of the car, my eyes immediately landed on him, and everything else faded. My soon-to-be husband. Nah, fuck that. He was already my husband.
