The auction of the Veloren family household is the biggest held in the human kingdom every year. So, naturally, most of the big families were going to attend the auction.
In a private room with beautiful crystals hanging from the ceiling, Margaret and Caesar sat opposite each other.
Caesar adjusted his glasses before glancing at the door.
Two men dressed like butlers brought a metallic case to him and left it on the table.
"So here it is. At least now, I don't owe you anything anymore. If anything, you will be the one owing me this time," Caesar said with a smile, and Margaret stood up.
"You can contact me the same way, anytime," Margaret said, blinking as she pulled the case towards herself and opened it.
There, she saw a fist-sized stone within the box, glowing with a faint golden light. She felt a great amount of essence within the stone and smiled as she saw it.
"I've only ever seen one with my husband. To think I'll see another one so soon," she shook her head.
She had noticed that Julius was always down because he got bullied by the triplets and the other trainees at the clan.
If she's able to give him this, perhaps as an early birthday gift, he'll finally be happy.
'I can't wait to see his face,' she smiled, closing the box and then looking at Caesar.
"By the way, how were you able to obtain this stone?" she asked with a raised brow.
It was no secret how rare these stones were. In a century, only three of them were discovered on the human continent, this one being the third. The Veloren household was going to be very famous after today.
"You remember the Forest of Forgotten Dreams? A warrior found it there, and one of our merchants bought it from the man," Caesar explained, and Margaret frowned.
"That place... How? The thick fog makes it hard to even see," she said, her tone filled with disbelief.
"I know, right? Maybe one day, our gladiators will be able to finally explore that region," Caesar said, and Margaret took the box and began to walk away.
"Remember! You owe me!" Caesar shouted, and Margaret only smiled, continuing on her way.
"Hahaha, what a queen," Caesar couldn't help but say after she left.
...
Back at the royal clan, Julius hadn't come out of his room ever since he spoke to his mum. He spent his time recapping all the events that happened in the story in his time.
One of the things he figured out today shocked him big time. He was the twin brother of the female lead.
'Like... I knew Sasha came from the royal clan. I just didn't think that far...'
'Seems like someone wants me to get into the story badly,' Julius couldn't help but sigh.
His brows furrowed when he saw a red light moving very quickly towards the castle, and then he immediately backed away, covering his face reflexively.
Wind blew the sheets off the bed, and Julius felt a hard wind slap against his body, and then there was silence.
He removed his hands to see the window just the way it was.
He blinked, not understanding what just happened.
'The hell happened just now?' he thought, looking around his room.
He then saw a metallic case on his bed and frowned before walking towards it.
"What just... happened?" he said, looking back at the window and then at the bed again.
'Did someone drop this here and leave?' he thought, his expression still calm at the thought.
'Mum. It would be only her. The Crimson Berserker herself,' he thought, looking back at the box.
He opened it to find a beautiful crystal, kite-shaped, the size of his hand.
He carefully picked it up and smiled.
The crystal had a yellow color, which faded into a red color as it went downwards.
'She really got it for me. I'm going to have to thank her later,' Julius stood up and removed his shirt.
He already knew the method of how to use the stone. He removed his shirt and sat on the ground, holding the stone.
He pressed it against his chest, making it release a bright glow. In that moment, Julius felt as if the stone melted into his body, rapidly spreading around.
He closed his eyes as he began to feel pain in his muscles and bones. He took slow breaths, bearing the pain.
After twenty minutes of enduring the pain, he finally opened his eyes and got off the bed. He glanced at himself in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction.
His frail self now looked like it had worked up a bit of muscle. Although not much, he still looked handsome like this.

Julius couldn't be more satisfied with the black words appearing on a condensed mist in front of him.
'Still the same system. Those who have essence will automatically be in the world record.' He nodded.
Julius raised a brow as he saw that one of his attributes was maxed out already, and he frowned.
'My Thrifter's Incarnation attribute. What is this? It's maxed out...' he squinted his eyes as he thought hard.
'Only after using the attributes in life activities does it grow and level up, and a supporting god's attribute will grow. If it's maxed out, then that means...'
'...Maximum affection towards me.'
Julius looked towards his window as he thought about it, and then he looked to the sky, which was covered by eerie blackish clouds.
'Could this God Thrifter be the author...?'
*Crrr...*
Julius was taken aback as he turned around to see his cupboard shaking violently. The drawer opened, and he walked towards it with a frown.
In it, he saw the empty diary he found the day before, and he raised his brows as he looked at it.
Picking it up, it vibrated in his hand, and then words began to appear on the front cover of the book.
{Reader's Grimoire}
Julius raised a brow and then opened it. As he did, words began to appear on the pages, and he frowned.
'This is...!'
