A Friendly Spar

Lucon walked towards the figure who was currently flying towards him at high speeds. As he walked he could only confirm two things, the first was that his Prana attacks couldn't reach that far and seemed to become weaker the more it traveled. The second, "I guess Vallen's ability does revolve around feathers, but from what I saw he just created them using his Prana and made them form a shield, that is interesting."

As Lucon thought this, Vallen had just arrived in front of Lucon and had a stern look on his face. "So, I allow you to run off and train in the mountains using things from my city to live a comfortable life and a way to come back, and when you finally arrive back you decide to send a slash towards our walls" Vallen said, his eyes glaring at Lucon. A dark flame coating his body as he just stared at Lucon's eyes.

Lucon just looked at Vallen for a bit before grinning, "I thought it was a fun idea at the time."

"... Bahahahaha" Vallen was quiet for a couple seconds before he burst into a series of laughter. "I see that you have fully integrated into our people's culture, that's good" Vallen said as he stopped laughing and just smiled at Lucon.

"But I still need to give you a punishment for attacking my city" Vallen suddenly charged towards Lucon. Lucon, who was caught off guard by Vallen's sudden rush, tried to raise his hand up to guard himself from whatever attack Vallen was going to launch.

Noticing this, Vallen just grinned before he lowered his body, to the point where he was almost touching the floor, and tried to sweep Lucon off his feet. Lucon quickly jumped into the air and looked down at Vallen. When he saw Vallen's face, he was a bit confused as he saw Vallen point behind Lucon.

"!!!"

"Was I hit by a truck!" Lucon shouted in his head as he felt a great force crash into his back. Though his body did not transmit pain to his mind, it transmits certain things like the sensation of the breeze, or the cold feeling of water, or in this case the vibrations of nearby objects.

When Lucon looked behind himself, he saw a wave of black fathers crashing into his back before flying away and looping itself to crash into Lucon's back once again. Lucon tried to use his Prana to deter the feathers, but was stopped when he saw a hand enter his field of vision.

"You should always keep an eye on your opponent," Vallen said as he grabbed Lucon's face and generated a bundle of black feathers on the back of his hand. Vallen soon pulled Lucon from out of their air and, using the moment of the feathers that crashed into Lucon and the feathers on his hand, slammed Lucon, face first, into the ground. The floor beneath Lucon cracked and caved in a bit. Vallen stood up a bit and massaged his shoulder.

"Is that all you got Lucon" Vallen said as he stood above as he continued to massage his shoulder. Lucon, who was just laying on the cracked and caved in ground, didn't respond. This act caused Vallen to quickly become scared, afraid that he might have slammed Lucon a bit too hard.

He reached his hand towards Lucon, ready to push his body a bit to see if Lucon would react. But before he could, he felt a sudden feeling rush through his body. He quickly jumped away and formed two black wings on his back. When he looked back, he saw Lucon wielding the sword he had given to him standing and making a slashing motion towards the spot that he was standing at not that long ago.

"You got away," Lucon said as he smiled at Vallen. Vallen seeing this was shocked at first, but that shock quickly changed to joy. He was joyous that Lucon hadn't given in and actually tried to sneak attack him.

"Not only did you learn how to train your Prana in the mountains, but you also learned how to lure in your opponents" Vallen crouched down a bit and kept his fists forward, "tell me, what did you face in those mountains?"

Lucon also crouched down, holding Entropy in his right hand and holding his scabbard in his left. "Oh you know, just the usual Dire Wolf pack and sudden attacks at night by some apes" Lucon said the last part out loud, as he slashed Entropy towards Vallen, creating a purple slash that traveled and cut everything in its path down.

Vallen saw this and instead of dodging, he instead charged towards the attack. This action caused Lucon to be a bit confused, but he quickly realized what Vallen was trying to do. Lucon quickly dashed behind the purple slash that was flying towards Vallen, holding Entropy tightly in his hand.

Soon black feathers covered Vallen's entire body as his body crashed into the slash. The purple slash broke into pieces as if it was glass crashing into the ground. Lucon quickly slashed at a wall of feathers, purple flames coating Entropie's blade.

When the blade clashed with the wall of feathers it did not cut through it like paper, but instead bounced off its surface. "What the hell are those feathers made of?" Lucon said as he stared at the feathers wide eyed. He knew that those feathers were hard to cut since his purple slashes didn't cut them apart, but he didn't think that the clash would feel like he was slashing at a giant boulder.

"Hope you didn't eat anything big today" a voice said in the bundle of feathers as a fist passed through the feathers and connected with Lucon's gut. Lucon coughed out saliva as he stared at Vallen who was appearing out of the bundle of feathers as if it was made of water. Before Lucon could do anything, he was assaulted by a flurry of fists. Each fist was aimed for his face, chest, stomach, and shoulders.

"How is he this fast?" Lucon thought as he felt the vibrations run through his body. Each time he tried to move his arm to either attack or defend, Vallen would just strike the shoulder or the inner part of his elbow and just stop his movement just before he could act on it. Lucon stared at Vallen for a bit before he finally remembered who Vallen was, "right, he is the head of the 12th family and is the person who attacked my village. Of course he would be stronger and faster than me, who is probably ten or eleven years old."

"On that note, why the hell is going all out on an eleven year old!" Lucon shouted in his mind, as Vallen suddenly stopped his barrage and kicked him in his gut. Lucon coughed once again as his body was sent away and crashed onto the hard ground, his body rolling rag dolling across its surface.

Lucon weakly looked up at Vallen who was just standing in his spot and just staring down at him. Vallen shook his head for a bit before shouting, "so this is how far you have gotten in your time in the mountain. To be honest, when I saw the level of your Prana I had thought you had awakened your ability just like me, but I guess I had too much faith in a little kid like you."

The feather wings on Vallen's back lowered themselves as Vallen shouted something that struck a chord in Lucon, "shall we stop this fight, I'm getting bored."

Bored?

He thought that their fighting was boring!

Even though Lucon knew he wasn't able to land a single hit on Vallen or even come close to it, he didn't see the fight as boring, but as a fun game of tag!

Yet that man thought their one sided fight was boring!

Lucons Prana soon flared up as the purple flames that were dimming away were reignited and burned at a greater height. This sight caused Vallen to become a bit shocked before he sighed. He didn't grin or smile this time, as he just saw this as a final act of defiance or a last wind coming from Lucon.

"Listen kid, unless you somehow awaken your ability, which would break and set a new record for the youngest Prana user to awaken their ability, then it is impossible for you to even hope that you could even get close to me unless I want you to" Vallen said as he stared at Lucon who was trying his best stand back up.

Lucon did not hear what Vallen had just said, his mind was currently occupied with a single thing and a single thought.

Fun.

"I want to have fun" Lucon muttered as his Prana flared again, as if it had listened to his call.

"Huh" Vallen said as he stared at his right hand. He saw that the black Prana that coated his hand was slowly disappearing, no, it was slowly being drained! He saw that black Prana slowly broke off from his hand and flew in the air as if it were just dust in the wind.

It wasn't just his Prana, when he looked around he saw the Prana from the trees and grass were also being drained. Heck, he even saw the Prana from the city also being drained. "What is draining the Prana" Vallen thought as he looked around him.

"Hehehe" Vallen was brought back to reality when he heard a sound. At first he was confused as to what he had heard, but when he focused on it, he realized what he was hearing was a series of chuckles. He looked around to find where these chuckles were coming from and stopped once his gaze locked onto the individual.

"What is so funny?" Vallen said to Lucon who was just standing there and chuckling.

"I don't know," Lucon said as he continued to chuckle as he stared at Vallen's eyes. Vallen took a step back when he saw what lingered in those eyes. They weren't tired or even weak, heck they didn't look invigorated or even have a trace of fear. Instead he saw what was a trace of what was something he saw in the eyes of a few individuals. Though they were not strong, they were people he wished to never face, for these people did not care if they were cut apart or were burned alive. All that mattered to them was the thrill and rush they felt in battle. What he saw in those eyes were the signs of insanity.

"My body suddenly feels weird, I feel like I could cut apart a boulder or even cut a mountain in half" Lucon stated as he began to laugh like a madman. He laughed and laughed, his Prana joining the laughter by growing and growing in size by the second. He continued to laugh for several seconds before calming himself, "shall we test it out Vallen."

Vallen felt a sensation run through his body. He quickly moved his body to the left and a couple seconds later a giant cut in the ground appeared in the spot he stood on.

"When did he slash at me!" Vallen said as he felt the same sensation run through his body. The wings on his back moved towards the front of Vallen and a couple seconds later, a force clashed with them. Vallen was moved a couple inches backwards and when he lowered his feather made wings, he noticed that several of them had been cut.

Vallen didn't even try to process or come up with a reason for the act. He instead just dashed towards Lucon, the wings still in front of him. As he dashed he could feel a force clashing with his wings and could even see his wings were also starting to slowly crumble away. He thought it was due to the constant clash that they were resisting, but then he noticed that the more he got closer to Lucon, the more his Prana was being drained.

Vallen brushed the thought aside as he was getting closer and closer to Lucon. Lucon didn't stand still either as he began to slash Entropy like a madman. Each slash caused a purple curved slash to fly in random directions. Some were hitting the ground not that far from him, others were hitting trees or boulders, while the rest were hitting Vallen's wings.

Lucon was suddenly brought back from his crazed state temporarily when he noticed Vallen getting closer and closer to him. Though it was only temporarily as Lucon quickly went back to laughing and charged towards Vallen.

The two charged towards one another, Vallen coating his hands in feathers and Lucon wielding Entropy in his right hand while still laughing. When they both clashed with one another, they immediately began to throw a flurry of attacks at one another.

Vallen sending punches towards Lucon's body and Lucon sending slashes and stabs to Vallens body. Vallen would use one hand to strike while using the other to defend or divert Lucons attack. Lucon would stab and slash at Vallen and didn't bother to try to dodge or defend himself.

They continued to clash with one another until Vallen punched Lucon in his stomach and Lucon retaliated by sending a purple slash at Vallen's chest. Vallen quickly created feathers and was able to block the attack while Lucon took the attack, the both of them being launched back a couple feet from one another.

"Lucon, tell me, did you have your ability awakened before you came to the city or did it just decide to manifest itself right here and now?" Vallen said as the feathers on his chest began to crumble to dust and fly towards Lucon's purple flames.

"Hehehe, I think it happened when you said you were bored, maybe before that. I don't know nor do I care, since I am having way too much fun to bother to understand our situation" Lucon stated as he continued to laugh.

"Well, as much fun as I am having right now then before, I believe it's about time we end this little charade of ours. Since I would rather not break your body too badly" Vallen stated as his black Prana burst into a great flame and black feathers manifested themselves before flying into the air. The feathers continued to fly towards the sky and began to fly in a circle similar to that of a whirlpool. The whirlpool of feathers getting bigger and bigger by the passing second.

As this was happening Lucon had sheathed Entropy and began to pour all of his Prana into the blade. He crouched down as he stared at the giant whirlpool in the sky.

As if a signal was shot into the air, the both of them released their attack. Vallen's whirlpool of feathers, that spread for miles, surged from the center point and flew towards Lucon. While Lucon released his Prana made slash towards the feathers. Not realizing that his singed flesh was tearing and breaking itself apart.

The two attacks surged towards one another before finally crashing. A gust of wind surged throughout the land as the attacks collided with one another. At first it seemed like both attacks were at a stalemate, but it became obvious that Lucon's attack was losing as his slash was starting to crack. The crack slowly began to spread towards the rest of the slash, before it finally shattered to pieces.

The storm of feathers rushed past the falling pieces of the slash and charged towards Lucon. Lucon stood there, his smile slowly disappearing and being replaced with a frown, "guess with this much strength I couldn't even get close to you, oh well."

The storm of feathers was upon him as he was slowly engulfed.

"There is always next time."
