Arabella’s Exile

The underworld was cloaked in an oppressive silence, its ever-shifting shadows now seeming denser, darker. Seraphis walked through the dim corridors, his footsteps echoing off the cold stone walls. Arabella had been imprisoned since the last demon rebellion, confined to a cell deep within the bowels of the realm, far from any contact with the outside world. Seraphis felt her presence was a burden he needed to deal with. Something inside him stirred—an urge to confront his own actions and decisions, particularly in relation to Elysiel.

As he neared Arabella's cell, Seraphis felt a slight tremor of hesitation. He, the demon king, had never hesitated to punish or control those who betrayed him. But something had changed within him since his last battle with Elysiel. His feelings were muddled, and he knew this confusion made him vulnerable. Arabella, once a loyal warrior to Elysiel, was now imprisoned.
