The Council of Elders

The council chamber was filled with a palpable tension. The lights, which usually glowed softly along the walls, now seemed dim, as if even the magic of light was hesitant in this atmosphere of uncertainty and doubt. The Council of Elders, composed of the wisest and oldest fairies of Elandor, had gathered with a clear purpose: to discuss the threat of Seraphis and his recent reapproach to Elysiel.

Lirian, the eldest and most influential of the councilors, stood in the center of the room, arms crossed behind his back as he observed the other councilors with a severe look. He had never trusted Elysiel since the bond between her and Seraphis had been formed, and now that the demon was back at the borders of Elandor, Lirian felt that the worst was about to happen.
