Chapter 89: Solas's Counterattack

Solas had anticipated an attack, but not the scale and precision of Nyla's forces. He watched the battlefield from his command center, his face twisted into a grim smile. The resistance was strong, but they were fighting a war they couldn't win—not against him. He had built his empire on the ruins of the old world, and he wasn't about to let some upstarts take it from him.

"Activate the reinforcements," Solas ordered, his voice cold.

As his mercenaries advanced, reinforcements poured into the battlefield from hidden outposts scattered across the region. Solas's army doubled in size within minutes, overwhelming the resistance fighters and General Aria's forces. The front lines began to collapse as the mercenaries pushed forward, cutting through the resistance with brutal efficiency.

Nyla's heart sank as she watched the battlefield from the command center. "We're losing ground."

General Aria's face was tense, her eyes scanning the battle map. "Solas had more forces than we anticipated. If we don't break his line soon, we'll be overrun."

Nyla knew that they needed a decisive move. Solas was focused on his army, confident in his overwhelming numbers. But Nyla had learned something from Isaac—sometimes, the only way to win was to think outside the box.

"We need to get inside the stronghold," Nyla said suddenly.

Aria frowned. "The stronghold is fortified. Even if we got inside, it wouldn't change the outcome of this battle."

Nyla shook her head. "Solas's strength isn't just his army. He's controlling everything from the stronghold. If we take that control away from him, his forces will be lost."

It was a risky plan, but Aria nodded in agreement. "It's our best chance."

Nyla quickly gathered a small team of elite fighters and hackers, and they prepared for a dangerous infiltration of Solas's stronghold.
