The sounds of cutlery chopping and plates clinking aroused my hunger, the smell wafted throughout the whole restaurant, provoking me to take a seat. There weren't many- no, there weren't any people in, except for the bored waitress, sitting on a chair behind her desk, swiping through her phone, perhaps reading a book. Maybe the one or two chefs, working behind the door that was right beside the lady. I can guess that the shop was a family business, The infrastructure of it seemed so old that it worries me, thinking of when it would break down as well as family photos set upon the desk on which I identified the girl- the waitress, standing beside her brother, with their parents. Each of them had a wide grin, which, strangely, unsettled me to my bones.
I slid into a chair awkwardly, The sound of the chair scraping against the floor bought her attention on me. My presence seemed to startle her and she jumped out her chair, making her way to my table with haste, I couldn't help but flash the girl a nervous smile.
"Hello" I said awkwardly
"Hi...-OH IMEANT- Hello, what would you like to order?" She asked politely
I stole a glace at the menu "Depends on what you have" My gaze returned to her.
"We have...." She began on a interesting list of menu, all explained in order as well. After a while, she finally came to end.
To which i came to a descision as well and chose a casual dish.
Then, the day went by in a blur. I sat there in solitude, as much as time seemed like nothing but a river that flows endlessly.
I stood up from my seat after leaving the fee behind and departed back to my Cocoon.
