In an attempt to escape his hellish fate, Kai is forced to tread a grey area where there are few allies and all sides view him as a tool or an enemy, relying on the presence of one girl who chose him above all else to keep himself from falling into despair and insanity. 

Humanity is doomed unless he and others like himself rise up against the endless hordes of demons and find a way to close the gates of Hél, but is it worth the sacrifice? 

Will he willingly save the very people who turned their backs on him, or will he choose the ever-widening path of darkness and become what they all fear he will?

"That is correct, Kai, You need strength," Tenzo in an almost patronizing tone answered his declaration watching Kai stumble over the demon on the ground, rushing towards the one that Andrew and Sashi were facing when it grabbed them both and slammed them into the ground.

"Kai!" Yui called to him, attempting to chase after him when even more demons began pouring into the building, but stopped when he took off in a flash, doubling the speed he already had and leaving traces of burnt ground in the wake of every step.

"Stay where you are!" Kai roared, leaping and performing a perfect dropkick into the side of the demon's head sending it crashing into the approaching multitude with its head caved in and the face contorted in agony.
