Rewrite of the original Zero Fate Against the World series
Synopsis:
Philip lived his life like any university student, he went to the campus, heard his teachers, made his notes, went home, studied, and played some games with the boys at night.
Until one fateful day. It was the final class of the year, and he together with all of the people present in the room, were transported to another world.
In a strange and unfamiliar land, everyone received powers and abilities, but with a twist, he didn't receive what everyone had, a class—only a skill to help him on his journey.
They weren't there to kill a demon king, nor they were there to prevent a war. Although you could say they were there to cause one...
This was their struggle for survival.

Hey!
I am just here to say that I don't own the cover image or the MC's special abilities.
If you own any of these things and want me to take it down I will, but remember that currently, I am not receiving any money from this.
i hope this time the pacing is much better, i remember i loved it before but then somewhere around chapter 50-60 it got super slow while mc was supposed to be on a time crunch so i put it down to collect. i hope we get even more bloodbourne this time.
One of my favorite stories, which I have read four times and was planning to re-read for the fifth time, is getting a rewrite. My god, my life is fulfilled!
Probably one of if not the best original stories on webnovel, and yes, I said original. Do not let the mention and breif visitation of games fool you, Abadom has written an amazingly fleshed out world from the ground up. Anything jnvolving games only takes up about 5 - 10% of the story. Abadom isnt perfect, so ill make a pro and con list and explain why for each entry. PROS: MC - Phillip is the best main character ive ever read. He actually evolves like a character should, he doesnt just stay the same stagnant pile of writing. Supporting Characters: A lot of the supporting characters are very well fleshed out, none of them feel like yes men or ' heroine_ 4058'. World Building: There is plenty of world building, and it explores how the world is outside of the human empire a lot. CONS: Now before getting into cons, I personally dont see some of these as cons, but I do know a lot of people do, anything like that I'll put a star next too. Yappology *: Goddamn do the characters in his story never stop yapping. Every character just goes on and on and on, makes me think every character has ADHD or something. Theres a reason each chapter is a minimum of 50 pages (thats a joke keep doing yo shit Abadom). Excessive Mystery*: Although mystery is a good thing to have in any story, there is a metric ton of mystery attatched to this series. Without spoiling anything, we are told of multiple things that we wont know the true meaning of for atleast 100 chapters, and it can get annoying after a while. Inconsistency: Although there are not a lot of inconsistencies in the story, there is in the uploading chapters. Now, I understand why his schedule is incosistent, and I dont really mind, but there are those times where I just cant defend it. a week is fine, 2 weeks is fine, 3 - a month is a bit outrageous. In case of family stuff is different, but other than that, an announcement or so would be nice. though to be fair, im not on the dicord (if there is one) so maybe he announces that stuff there. Anyways, im done yapping myself. TLDR: Very good, read it you shmuck.
One of the best stories I've ever seen, the long chapters, the way the protagonist thinks rationally and is not a no-brainer, the completely original and gigantic world that leaves infinite possibilities among others. The only point that I didn't find good was the lack of better development of the other heroes that seemed like they would happen in the last arc before the rewrite. I will follow this rewrite just as I followed the original. 100/10
what's new this time? anyways I'm looking forward to this masterpiece
Looking forward to the rewrite the older one had bad pacing in the later chapters. Obviously it wasn't horrendous but it lost the impact it had at first.
This story stands out as a nearly original work, skillfully incorporating gaming elements to enhance the narrative without letting them dominate. The worldbuilding is rich, filled with intricate lore and hidden agendas that keep readers invested. The pacing is well-balanced, making each chapter flow naturally while maintaining a sense of progression and discovery. One of its strongest aspects is its engaging and lengthy chapters, which allow for deep immersion. Rather than feeling dragged out, they pull the reader in, creating a fulfilling reading experience. The main character is interesting, with a well-developed arc that makes his growth feel organic and rewarding. He is neither overpowered from the start nor stagnant, evolving as the story unfolds. Beyond the protagonist, the supporting cast is another highlight. Introduced seamlessly, these characters often appear unexpectedly yet add significant depth to the story. Each has a distinct personality and role, making their presence feel meaningful rather than just filler.
Definitely way better in all aspects. I hope to see more chapters beyond the old version and if possible to see a Patrëon open up for those who was to support and or see more chapters. Also I do hope for a Monster Hunter class and a Calamity Terraria class at some point.

Writing quality isn't the best. (just occasion sentence structuring problems or using wrong words like pulling professors from behind the curtains instead of bringing them) but I think it has its own charm. I really love how the author uses the stereotypes from Japanese Isekai novels in a new way (filling the whole book with them). especially how he levels and takes advantage of the system rules. Also, I hope you add something new for us old readers. to keep us in suspense Writing: 4 Stability of Updates: Don't remember from the old book Story development: Godly Character Design: 5 (turned stereotypes into something new and interesting) World Background: 5 (has you thirsting for more)
While i cant really say anything about the rewrite, because only 2 Chapters are out, the old version was one of my, if not my favorite story and i would highly recommend to atleast try it out.
more please I really liked the previous one, and this one is just as addictive same of my problems with it is 1. not enough chapters, and I can't even pay to get more 2. the discord server is dead from what I see so i can't even talk about the story and theories about it with people who love it. It has well,
I’ve been reading this novel for a while now, and while the world-building and premise are intriguing, I’ve been having a hard time fully engaging with the writing style. At times, the explanations feel a little overwhelming. One thing that really stands out to me is the use of the term ‘mechanical functions.’ When cognitive abilities like memory, reaction speed, and learning speed are described this way, it just doesn’t sit right. These are mental and biological processes, not mechanical ones. It feels like the author is trying to sound technical, but it doesn’t quite make sense in the context. The brain is an organic, living organ—not a machine—and this language kind of creates a disconnect from the rest of the world-building. It’s a small thing, but every time I come across it, I find myself stopping to think about it, which pulls me out of the story. I’ve been pushing myself to keep reading, but that ‘mechanical functions’ term keeps nagging at me, and it does make it harder to stay fully immersed in the experience. It’s a little frustrating because I really want to enjoy the world and the plot, but that inconsistency keeps breaking my focus. Another issue is the lack of clear identification of who’s speaking in dialogue. I often find myself having to pause and figure out who’s saying what, which interrupts the flow of the conversation and makes it harder to connect with the characters. This novel is a new version, and I didn’t read the old one, but I’m planning to give it a try. I can’t help but wonder, though, ‘Why rewrite the novel again?’ If the same issues are still there, it’s hard to see what’s been improved or what was the point of redoing it in the first place. Overall, I think the story has potential, but the execution could use a little refinement—especially when it comes to consistency in language and clearer character identification. The ‘mechanical functions’ thing stands out, and it’s something that could be easily fixed to make the story feel more cohesive.
Hope you reading this. I understand and am glad that you are still writing. I was patiently waiting the other one to stack till past 100. And ngl, i hate rewrites. I feel more at ease with old ones because I can feel the growth of the writing and most rewrites always gets ruined as they lost what makes it special. I mean I literally waited weeks to months for new chapters😶. Hope it doesn't devolve from the original because i like it very very much
