Chapter 32: Skyreach Mission Pavilion (1)

As Reon approached the Skyreach Mission Pavilion, he was struck by its sheer grandeur. The building loomed above him, far larger than the Weaponry Hall of the Outer Sect.

Above the grand entrance, elegantly etched in swirling letters, was the name "Skyreach Mission Pavilion," an inscription that evoked both reverence and excitement.

As Reon stood outside the Skyreach Mission Pavilion, he surveyed the bustling scene around him. The air was filled with the sounds of excited chatter and laughter, as disciples gathered in clusters, some animatedly sharing tales of their recent adventures.

The courtyard was alive with activity; a few disciples were preparing for their next missions, checking their gear and reviewing maps, while others, weary but triumphant, celebrated their successful returns with boisterous camaraderie.

Reon bid farewell with Xu Yang and stepped inside the pavilion, he was greeted by a stark contrast to the lively scene outside.

Although many disciples were gathered inside, the interior was so spacious and elegant that it could easily accommodate all the members of the Outer Sect.

With high ceilings supported by intricately carved wooden beams. Soft, warm light filtered through stained windows, casting colorful patterns on the polished stone floor.

There were several Mission Assignment Counters set up, where various members eagerly explained mission details and rewards to the disciples.

On the opposite side were several Mission Report Counters, where individuals came to report their mission completions. After confirming the details, the members at these counters distributed rewards to the disciples.

Reon's eyes shifted behind the counters, where the walls were lined with mission boards, displaying requests from various factions, kingdoms, and individuals seeking brave souls for their endeavors.

The Mission Board was organized into various tiers: Novice Level, Apprentice Level, Intermediate Level, Advanced Level, Elite Level, Master Level, Grandmaster Level, Lord Level, and King Level Missions.

While the Outer Sect's Skyreach Mission Pavilion branch did not offer missions higher than the Intermediate Level, there were some Emperor Level Missions within the Sect that had remained uncompleted for centuries.

As the mission level increases, so does the difficulty of the tasks. For higher-level missions, rewards are only granted after the requestor verifies the authenticity of the items or objectives they sought.

For lower-level missions, the requestor pays the Sect in advance, and the Sect verifies the authenticity of the requested items or services.

Should any issues arise, the requestor can file a complaint. The Sect maintains detailed records of everything sent to the requestor, and those who make baseless complaints face penalties for their actions.

After look around for a while, Reon headed toward the Mission Board, eager to find a suitable task in the Mystic Evergreen Forest. As he browsed through the listings, he suddenly heard the familiar sound of the system announcing a new mission.

[Option 4: Accept an Intermediate Level Mission with the deadline of two months.

.

Reon stared at the system panel before him, reading through the available options.

The first choice was to accept a Novice Level Mission, which would be a breeze for him, as these missions typically involved gathering Common Grade Herbs.

In fact, even newcomers to the sect often avoided these tasks; they were usually undertaken by the weakest disciples of the Outer Sect.

The reward for this option was not appealing either—a Protection Item of Uncommon Grade. Although it had been quite powerful when he first received it, it was now rendered useless with Cloudia by his side.

The second option was equally unappealing. While it was easy to complete, the reward—An Attack Item of Uncommon Grade—was unsatisfactory, as it couldn't match the power of Cloudia's attacks.

Reon glanced at the third option, which was to accept an Apprentice Level Mission. With Cloudia by his side, it wouldn't be too difficult to complete.

However, the reward was still disappointing: an Escape Talisman of Uncommon Grade. While it might help him escape from a Peak Stage Qi Solidification Realm or Low Stage Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator, it wouldn't be much use against stronger opponents. The talisman could only teleport him five to ten miles away—a distance they could close in seconds.

If it had been a Unique or Epic Grade Escape Talisman, it would have been a priceless treasure, capable of transporting him from one province to another across the Sleeping Dragon Continent.

Reon's gaze settled on the fourth option. It was to take an Intermediate Level Mission with a two-month deadline.

Though it would be somewhat challenging, he felt confident he could manage it—training for one month and using the second month to complete the task.

The reward was a Technique Insight Ticket of Rare Grade, which couldn't come at a better time since he had recently acquired a Rare Grade Sword Technique.

Given that he had no memories of Xue Taiyang, learning techniques like other cultivators was difficult, making this item invaluable. Plus, with another plot set to begin in two months, this option was perfect for him.

So I will go with this option.
