The story started off really well, with a solid build-up and an interesting main character. However, in the later chapters, the direction feels a bit inconsistent. At first, the MC is portrayed as timid and low-key, but then he suddenly becomes arrogant and reveals all his abilities—especially in front of a female lead—which feels rushed. This sudden change makes him a target for countless enemies who come after his treasures. If he was going to reveal his power anyway, it would’ve made more sense to do so during the elder evaluations, where he could’ve gained a strong backing or even become a disciple of a powerful elder. That would’ve added depth and logic to his rise. At times, the MC also becomes frustratingly dense—completely unaware of things happening around him, which slows down the pace. I sincerely hope the author addresses these issues and finds a better balance. Either make the MC a true hero that people admire, or a mysterious powerhouse in the shadows—both can work if done well. Wishing all the best to the author. With some refinement, this story has real potential to become something truly popular and unforgettable.
I can’t believe I only just discovered this novel. It’s increasingly difficult to find a well-written cultivation novel these days—there are some, but most tend to lack originality and quickly become repetitive or dull. However, this book stands out with its fresh take on the genre, offering a unique introduction, well-crafted characters, and a strong early plot. That level of originality is rare, especially among newer generation novels. The writing is also exceptionally clean and well-edited. Personally, I’m quite sensitive to inconsistencies in grammar—particularly the incorrect use of lowercase letters where capital letters should be used—so I truly appreciate the author’s attention to detail in this regard. I’m still in the middle of reading, but I felt compelled to write this review early on. This novel genuinely deserves more recognition for its quality and creativity.
