Chapter 2 Madame

Humming, Jiang Yixuan unlocked the door and slid into the passenger side.

The car started, and Xie Liyun pulled off the side of the road.

She drove herself really well. In the snow, she drove extremely slowly but very steadily to get to safety. As she drove, she said quiet things.

"Have you been waiting outside for a long time?"

"fine."

"You were at the beach a few days ago; did you catch a cold?"

"You mean Weibo?" After giving it some thought, Jiang Yixuan hummed a little and said, "The investor requested it."

It is implied that this is merely being done to promote the recently released drama.

Unable to comprehend, Xie Liyun turned to face her and asked, "Are you cold?" while she waited for the traffic light to turn green.

"…No."

Jiang Yixuan impatiently removed her scarf. Such words of worry were unfamiliar to her. She turned sideways, turned her earbuds on, pointed angrily out the window, and said she didn't want to converse.

Xie Liyun simply grinned without saying anything.

She was not asked if she was sick with a cold.

In the carriage is also Kunqu Opera.

The music is unknown to me, but the singing is really classic. It is prolonged, continuous, and has a modest volume.

Jiang Yixuan had on headphones and had no music playing. She subconsciously closed her eyes as she stared out the window at the passing countryside.

She is overly worn out.

She had no idea how long it would take, but when she finally opened her eyes, she was momentarily surprised to see that she had dozed off.

Outside, it's still snowing.

The Kunqu opera was over, and the car was parked on the side of the road.

There was a fresh, airy scent floating through the carriage. After inhaling deeply, Jiang Yixuan turned to face the side.

She struck up a conversation with someone who had warm eyes with a lovely arc at the ends.

She is unaware of the duration of Xie Liyun's incognito stare.

Uncomfortably turning her eyes, Jiang Yixuan said, "Why don't you wake me up?"

"We recently arrived," Xie Liyun greeted her. "Are you worn out? Is the work really challenging?

Jiang Yixuan is a lonely person in certain ways. She is the laziest person ever to listen to their parents' kind and inconsiderate remarks. Additionally, she is about to respond, "It's none of your business," because she is in a pretty foul mood today. She insists after noticing Xie Liyun's soft, mildly worried expression when she looks up. Shengsheng put up with it.

She paused for two seconds, then managed to get out one sentence: "That's it."

It's simply laborious. There isn't a profession that isn't difficult in our world.

Nothing further to add.

Jiang Yixuan was the first to exit the vehicle after unbuckling her seat belt. She didn't wait for Xie Liyun to lock the car before moving forward.

That is, until Xie Liyun stopped her, saying, "Jiang Yixuan."

After coming to a stop, Jiang Yixuan pivoted and gave her a perplexed expression.

Xie Liyun simply stepped next to the car and locked it. She was dressed in a chilly, melancholy peacock blue coat. She had an incredibly thin waist. Long-term sick people are naturally frail and slender, yet she has a towering body and looks stunning against the white snow. Unlike anything else.

Glancing away, Jiang Yixuan asked, "What's wrong?"

With a half smile, Xie Liyun's stunning eyes landed on Jiang Yixuan, and she spoke softly, "Mrs. Xie."

Jiang Yixuan.

Xie, Mrs.

You still need to perform the entire set when acting.

Jiang Yixuan observed Xie Liyun approach her. She firmly pursed her bottom lip before extending her hand to take her wife's arm.

However, there are thirty cm separating the two, which is most likely broad enough to accommodate an additional person.

Following a period of walking in this manner, Jiang Yixuan's hands and feet were nearly rigid.

She was not fond of making physical contact with anyone, much less Xie Liyun, with whom she was completely unfamiliar.

Luckily, this trip won't take too long.

The housekeeper appeared at that moment, grinning to greet them, saying, "Miss Xie, Miss Jiang, you are back!"

"Where is grandpa?" inquired Xie Liyun.

Observe my memory, the housekeeper said, giving him a head pat. Later that afternoon, Mr. walked out. He wanted me to phone and advise you not to rush back today before he left."

Her second uncle, Xie Mingchao, interrupted him mid-sentence to say, "Your grandfather's old friend suffered a heart attack." He visited the hospital and is not expected to return today.

"Grandpa is not here," Xie Liyun replied to Jiang Yixuan as she turned to face her second uncle. We'll return after supper.

With a quick "oh," Jiang Yixuan extended her hand. Grandpa Xie was supposed to see the charade, but since the old guy wasn't present, there was no need to act the part.

The Xie family had one girl and three sons in their previous generation. Xie Liyun's aunt resides far away, and her father passed away a few years ago. At home is the family of Xie Minghai, the eldest uncle, and Xie Mingchao, the second uncle. They were also greeted by the second aunt Jiao Yan and the oldest aunt Wu Xiang. forced Xie Liyun to take a seat.

The others gathered around the table, and the birthday boy was not at home. At the dinner table, there are a lot of people, and all they discuss is the juniors' affairs, their education, jobs, and marriages.

"Ayun, did the tour go well?" Wu Xiang asked after giving Xie Liyun some meals.

With a kind thank you, Xie Liyun said, "It went extremely easily. I have nothing to worry about because I complied with the teacher and younger sister."

"Your junior sister's name is Jiang You, right?" Wu Xiang remembered, "I've seen that girl; she's really attractive." Yesterday, upon her return to China, she made headlines! Did you accompany her back?"

Xie Liyun nodded but didn't say anything else.

Beside her, in the periphery of my vision, was Jiang Yixuan. She appeared bored as she played with the corn kernels in the bowl with chopsticks.

"Xuanxuan, you and Ayun have been married for two years, and you need to see each other more often," the second aunt proudly addressed Jiang Yixuan. Despite the importance of a career, relationships eventually fade, no matter how wonderful they were in the beginning. Furthermore, you should prepare ahead if you wish to have children."

Jiang Yixuan remained silent.

Although she didn't enjoy hearing such things, she was Xie Liyun's relative; therefore, she had no choice but to accept it.

"Second Aunt," Xie Liyun grinned. "We've already talked about the thing you asked me to ask Professor Ning Dalu."

Jiaoyan exclaimed, "Ah," so excited that she forgot what she had just said. "That's great; my niece is thinking about choosing Professor Lu as her tutor!"

After a few more exchanges, Xie Liyun brought the topic to an end.

Adjacent to Xie Liyun was Jiaoyan with her granddaughter seated. "Auntie, can I drink your juice?" the young child inquired in a quiet voice as she raised her head.

Xie Liyun kept her hands off the liquid. Jiaoyan abruptly stopped her as she was ready to take the cup over, saying, "No, Ayun, I won't give Xiaoyu the chance to get over my illness."

The environment quickly cooled as he lifted the cup, and it halted in midair.

Xie Liyun has been taking medication for a long time and has always had poor health. Everyone is aware of this. Simply put, saying it in such a disrespectful manner in front of everyone is unacceptable.

With a hint of subtlety, Jiaoyan said, "Ayun, that's what Auntie said." Please don't take it seriously. You can't even drink fish? Try Auntie's soup instead.

Warmly smiling, as though she had no temper at all, was Xie Liyun.

Jiang Yixuan stopped tinkering with the corn kernels.

Is this man a wooden object?

I was bullied so much that I lost all patience!

Fish soup was filled into a bowl, which Jiaoyan placed in front of her. With a smile on her face, Jiang Yixuan nodded to the aunt standing next to her and handed over the bowl, saying, "No need. I'll swap it out for a different bowl. Please don't treat me too badly."

Cold-looking, Jiaoyan asked, "What did you say?"

Although Jiang Yixuan's lips were curving at the corners, her eyes remained expressionless as she said, "What did Auntie think I said?"

Xie Liyun didn't get the face she desired. In any case, she might as well offend someone this time since she has a reputation for being a jerk and the Xie family is aware of this as well.

You have to slap the person who has been bullying you back now.

Jiaoyan nearly got to her feet, but her husband stopped her. Additionally, Wu Xiang shook his head at her and grinned as he remarked to Jiang Yixuan, "Xuanxuan wants to switch out the dishes. Then, Sister Wu, kindly switch out a set of plates for each person."

Jiaoyan's expression was icy. She was aware of the haughty disposition of the Jiang family's oldest daughter, but since she had made the mistake by saying the incorrect thing first today, she was forced to put up with it.

There was silence at the table.

But the surface no longer had the same peaceful vibe. Xie Liyun asked to leave the lunch after she had hardly finished it.

The driver, Lao Huang, hurried from home to fetch her up because alcohol was on the table and had already been waiting outside.

Grandpa Xie immediately registered the single-family villa under Jiang Yixuan's name with a single stroke of his pen when Jiang Yixuan and Xie Liyun got married. It was incredibly remote and situated halfway up the mountain.

The snow continued to fall during the short hours we spent eating.

Compared to when we arrived, there is more snow on the road.

With a pout, Jiang Yixuan took a call in the car first. "Xuanxuan, Bai Tang has set her sights on a magazine we talked about again," stated Dou Chi, her agent. She desires to appear on the magazine's cover that we discussed.

Unable to contain her rage, Jiang Yixuan exclaimed, "What's so crazy about this Bai Tang lately?"

Dou Chi: "I'm still not sure how to solve it. Why is Chen Pi, her manager, also losing his mind? Hold off till I locate someone to look into."

Feeling worse, Jiang Yixuan hung up the phone.

I even want to roll down the windows in the car to let the cool air in.

But for some reason, she withdrew her hand as soon as he touched the button.

After Xie Liyun turned to face her for a while, Jiang Yixuan gave her a cruel glance and questioned, "What are you looking at?"

When Jiang Yixuan is upset, she objects to everything that she sees. Recalling Jiaoyan's demeanor at the dinner table when she disclosed her condition, she felt enraged.

She glanced halfway around and caught a glimpse of Xie Liyun's coat in the car window's reflection. She remembered that when Jiang You held her hand, she looked just as calm in the pictures that the media had shot at the airport.

Xie Liyun was not sure why she was feeling so down today. When Jiang Yixuan wasn't feeling well, she would usually neglect her, but this was not often the case.

The steep road outside the villa area was covered in snow, and the wheels skidded multiple times. Weeping and wearing a gloomy expression, the driver, Lao Huang, said, "Miss Xie, Miss Jiang, the road is a bit difficult today; let's take a detour."

"No need," Jiang Yixuan abruptly replied. "Put the car in gear." I'll descend and go around."

Without knowing why, Lao Huang, the driver, pulled over and said, "There's still a long way to go; how about..."

Jiang Yixuan stepped outside into the snow after opening the car door.

She was having trouble breathing in the stuffy car because the heating was on.

It's merely a twenty-minute walk back to the villa area entrance, which is almost here.

She was shocked to hear someone calling her from behind as soon as she got out of the car: "Jiang Yixuan."

When Jiang Yixuan noticed Xie Liyun getting out of the automobile, she scowled but continued walking forward without pausing to wait for her.

Xie Liyun moved at a leisurely pace.

She was abandoned far away.

"Why are you walking so slowly?" Jiang Yixuan called her after they had been strolling for a while.

Your health is not excellent. This winter night, do you wish to freeze to death in the biting wind?

Xie Liyun approached her cautiously while grinning at her from a distance as the snow began to fall. "What's wrong? Have you been angry today?" she asked.

"Aren't you angry?" Jiang Yixuan asked her, not waiting for an answer.

Xie Liyun assumed she was discussing what had happened at night because of the soft, soothing tone in which she spoke, "Don't be angry."

"Why aren't you angry?" asked Jiang Yixuan.

Softly, Xie Liyun murmured, "Why should I be angry? Did you not chastise my second aunt for me?

Jiang Yixuan looked surprised.

She turned, blinks, and walks out.

However, the speed was far slower this time, only a meter or two in front of Xie Liyun.

She heard Xie Liyun walking, which made her ears perk up.

quite cozy.  Cool and not putting things off.

With a slight head tilt, she gave a quiet snort.

Jiang Yixuan waited at the door, shaking off the snow as he walked back into the snow.

Xie Liyun needed to rest because her health was not good. The aunt, driver, and chef all resided in the annex building of the villa, leaving just the two of them in the main building.

With a concerned expression on her face, Sister You, who had been Xie Liyun's caregiver for many years, emerged, carrying a white coat: "You're back. Is this coat really gone, Ayun?"

Nodding, Xie Liyun said, "Lost it."

Your sister: "Such a good material; I haven't worn it a few times; why did it get lost?"

Jiang Yixuan also pivoted and identified the coat as the same one that Xie Liyun had on upon her return from the airport the previous day.

With nothing flattering to say, she changed her shoes at the door and headed straight upstairs.

She had not moved yet, only standing at the top of the stairs. Voices came and went downstairs.

"After it was touched by someone else, I didn't want to wear it anymore. Perhaps you could donate it."

It had taken a while for the shadow at the top of the stairs to move.

having been impacted by another person.

Others.

Oh .
