Chapter3 Night Snack

When Jiang Yixuan returned to her room, she fell straight onto the bed from exhaustion.

Upon opening Weibo, she saw a number of trending searches related to today's red carpet, which did not come as a surprise: #fashioncelebration #Beauty is beautiful#Xu ya the fairy skirt is so beautiful#Zhao Min's waist#.

She noticed her name among the popular searches: #Jiang Yixuan. I'm not excited about it. #

Fans of the two families were at odds after Bai Tang took the part that she had negotiated for a few days earlier. This entry covered the jeers on the red carpet today as well as the minor altercation with reporters outside the event.

"A pure passerby, Jiang Yixuan's quality is really poor, and she talks so disrespectfully."

"Stop pretending to be a passerby upstairs; just like the real owner of your family, you love to pretend to be [cute]."

"I think Jiang Yixuan's character is more annoying."

After reading through a few remarks, Jiang Yixuan concluded that nothing new had been said. She used to become upset when she saw criticism of her, but today she was probably too exhausted and not in the right frame of mind.

After closing Weibo and gazing at the ceiling for some time, she suddenly got hungry.

It was a bad evening at Xie's house. After eating only a few bits of food, she got dressed in her house clothes and headed downstairs with the intention of finding something to eat.

In the living room too is Xie Liyun, dressed in a white sweater with her long hair pushed up and her broken hair falling loose.

A subtle scent filled the kitchen, swiftly capturing Jiang Yixuan's taste buds and immobilizing her feet.

Says Xie Liyun, "Are you hungry?"

"Are you hungry?" inquired Jiang Yixuan.

"I'll cook some midnight snacks; let's eat together," Xie Liyun said with a nod.

After glancing at her tall and slender form, Jiang Yixuan turned around and walked upstairs, whispering to herself, "I won't eat it."

Xie Liyun ate without hesitation, yet afterward, she put on weight. Really, don't bother.

Xie Liyun grinned broadly as she turned to face her back.

Jiang Yixuan slumped back onto the bed in the room.

The cooperation she had achieved has been steadily eroded during the last several turbulent days. She felt a little worn out, both emotionally and physically. She rested for a further twenty minutes, at which point she got up and removed her makeup.

My stomach gave a dissatisfied growl at this point.

died from starvation...

She was about to die.

With a frustrated sigh, Jiang Yixuan examined herself in the mirror, prodded the skin on her face, and then went back down while holding the cup.

When Xie Liyun heard the disturbance, she peered out of the kitchen.

Jiang Yixuan interrupted her before she could inquire, saying, "I'll come down and get a glass of water."

"I accidentally cooked too much," smiled Xie Liyun as she inquired. Would you be able to join me in eating something?"

Her countenance was relaxed and organic, and her tone was soft and light. To save on food waste, I invited her to join us for dinner.

After pouring a glass of water, Jiang Yixuan stated in a kind manner, "Oh. That's positive.

After preparing two bowls of noodles, Xie Liyun added seaweed, mushrooms, chicken, and bamboo shoot tips. The noodles smelled perfectly and had a deep hue.

Jiang Yixuan's face was oval when she removed her makeup. She had pale, sensitive, and delicate skin. It was considerably softer and not nearly as vibrant and fragrant as it appeared on camera. She gave herself a puffy face and just stared at her.

She was handed a bowl of noodles by Xie Liyun.

Using her chopsticks to pick up a strand of noodles, Jiang Yixuan restrained her appetite and consumed half the bowl in little pieces.

I got a call from my friend's pal halfway through the meal. We spoke for a short while while continuing to discuss the show.

We spoke for a short while before hanging up. After dinner, Xie Liyun asked her breezily, "Are you going to a new show?"

Humming, Jiang Yixuan said, "I should go."

"Approximately how long will it take?" As Xie Liyun noticed sweat dripping from her nose, she removed a tissue and said, "It's almost Chinese New Year."

Thank you, Jiang Yixuan remarked, taking the tissue, "I'm not sure how long. In any case, I am inactive because there haven't been many employment arrangements lately."

"Don't work too hard," said Xie Liyun.

Jiang Yixuan: "That makes sense."

The mood is subdued and slightly uncomfortable.

They hardly ever see one another more than a few times a year, and they hardly ever communicate so well. Jiang Yixuan typically enjoys criticizing others, most likely due to her short fuse, but she felt better right now for no apparent reason. She responded when Xie Liyun requested.

When Xie Liyun had finished eating the noodles, he remarked, "You go upstairs first, and I'll clean up."

Glancing at her, Jiang Yixuan said, "Just you? As a sick person, is that okay? I'll do it; it's getting late."

Though they were clearly words of concern, they sounded a little gross to her. When Xie Liyun heard this, she was not irritated. She nodded and grinned at her.

After gathering the plates and forks, Jiang Yixuan carried them inside the kitchen.

Miss Jiang, whose fingers were not dripping with spring water, staggered into the kitchen. She was unable to locate the gloves and was unsure of which dishwashing rag was. After a long while of muttering, she eventually finished washing. The bowl dropped as her hand slipped.

The nighttime calm makes such powerful booms all the more startling.

Jiang Yixuan felt a foreboding suspicion. She turned around and saw Xie Liyun leaning against the door and grinning at her as she stood by the door.

She's not sure when her appeared.

Jiang Yixuan wanted to retract the foolish things she had just said because she felt so embarrassed.

With a pouted expression, she gave Xie Liyun a curious look and said, "It's just a slippery hand; why are you laughing?"

Even though these remarks are a little absurd and prevent people from laughing, they do have a faint tinge of coquettishness.

With no irritation at all, Xie Liyun nodded and said, "Yes."

For a little moment, Jiang Yixuan collected the shattered porcelain pieces, but Xie Liyun intervened, saying, "Don't move, lest you prick your fingers."

She ripped off a sheet of paper and penned two lines reminding Sister You to pick up the shattered china pieces first thing the next morning. To warn Sister You not to walk on them, she put them up where she entered the kitchen.

The person she writes about is exactly like her handwriting. Her penmanship is exquisite, legible, and classic.

"Xie Liyun, are you tired?" Jiang Yixuan inquired as she was writing from the side.

She is kind to everyone, always completes tasks carefully, and keeps others in mind when doing anything. Even though she advocates for herself, she is worn out.

"What?" Xie Liyun asked in confusion.

With a head shake, Jiang Yixuan said, "It's nothing."

Jiang Yixuan regretted eating half a bowl of noodles. She practiced squats in the fitness center for a bit before coming back.

The guest room, exercise center, and pool are located on the second floor. The rooms of Xie Liyun and Jiang Yixuan are on the third floor. Xie Liyun's room is indoors, and hers is located next to the stairs.

After their marriage, this was a natural tacit understanding. Though they all agreed to sleep in different rooms, no one brought it up. There was no bond; they were just a family married to one another, after all.

As Jiang Yixuan reached the room's door, she was about to open it when she heard two quiet coughs coming from the adjoining room.

It was the voice of Xie Liyun.

Could it be that on the way back, the wind was blowing?

Without more consideration, Jiang Yixuan went back to the chamber.

She filled the bathtub with water and spent some time bathing. She lay in the bathtub and nearly passed out. She lay down again and waited for her hair to dry. It was around eleven o'clock.

She turned over impatiently, as if she could hear the coughing in the adjacent room again, and said, "This run-down house has really bad sound insulation."

After repeatedly tossing and turning, she eventually just covered her head with the quilt. She was unsure of the exact time she went to sleep.

awoke early the following morning.

As Jiang Yixuan went downstairs to put on her slippers, she happened to observe Sister You gathering up the shattered pieces of porcelain.

Did you prepare a midnight snack last night, Ms. Jiang? Sincerely, how come you didn't wake me up? Did you sustain a cut on your finger?

Saying it was alright, Ning Ke turned to face the living room. When he noticed that there was only one person eating breakfast at the table, he awkwardly enquired, "Where is she?"

Sister You were momentarily taken aback without her name even being mentioned: "Oh? Ayun? In the morning, I knocked on her door and requested after hearing her cough. It seemed like she hadn't slept at all, she said. I prepared medicine for her. She is going to be here shortly. Space to get some rest."

With an "oh," Jiang Yixuan bowed her head and began to eat breakfast.

Sister "Let's go up and have a look," you said.

She also understood that they were spending more time apart and less time together. This was the case with most marriages lacking an emotional basis. They were uncaring and behaved as though they were visitors. It was not as if they were fond of one another. However, it is best to have feelings because we will be living together as a couple for the rest of our lives, not just for a few days or a few weeks.

Shaking her head, Jiang Yixuan said, "I'm not going."

Sister You "All right, you eat first, and I'll go to the kitchen to take a look," you moaned.

After eating breakfast by herself, Jiang Yixuan was ready to get dressed and head out. She stopped again, removing her coat. "My bags are in the room," she said to Sister You, who was working in the kitchen."Call Lao Huang, please wait for me."

Sister You lifted her head and said, "Oh, okay."

Jiang Yixuan went upstairs, lowering her steps.

Upon reaching my room door, She noticed that Xie Liyun's door was slightly ajar rather than securely shut.

Getting ready to shut the door, she moved over.

She peered through the crack in the door just before she closed it. Xie Liyun had a serene and tranquil expression when sleeping, but her eyebrows were slightly furrowed as she faced the entrance.

Just then, a voice out of the shadows said, "Miss Jiang?"

Surprised, Jiang Yixuan shut the door right away, feeling a little bad about it all: "I saw a mouse running in."

"Mouse?" exclaimed Sister You.

"Yes, look at home when you have time," said Jiang Yixuan.

With that said, she hurried downstairs with a hasty back.

"Huh?" said Sister You.

This home is tidy and well-lit, and she has been doing this for decades. Why are there mice?

That isn't how it ought to be!

-

Jiang Yixuan arrived at the company late, having experienced a delay at home.

A woman in a plaid skirt and a white woolen short coat turned to face the office door as it opened, grinning and saying, "I've been waiting for you, big star."

Hua Jiao is a close buddy of Jiang Yixuan. She landed a job with a screenplay firm right out of college. She changed careers after a few years and became a variety show director. She wasn't famous; she was just a web variety show.

Jiang Yixuan observed Huajiao's attire and commented, "It looks nice today. She appears barely eighteen.

Hua Jiao: "You're hurting me again; fxxk you."

"You really can't pretend for three seconds," said Jiang Yixuan.

Hua Jiao and her shared a childhood. Pretty and invigorating Hua Jiao is a little awkward with people, but when she speaks to Jiang Yixuan, her childhood friend, she is brash and assertive.

Waving her hand, Hua Jiao said, "Come on, let me act like we're together. Now let's get serious. I find it quite difficult to choose candidates for this variety program."

Angry, Jiang Yixuan stated, "Otherwise. Out of sisterly love, I came to take part in your variety show to benefit the underprivileged."

"If you don't speak nicely, will you die?" Hua Jiao moaned.

Ultimately, though, she was also aware that Jiang Yixuan was being honest.

It is challenging for "Perfect Partner" to become popular because it is a typical slow variety show in the travel and leisure category. When developing the project materials, Hua Jiao included additional components, including grouping, competition, confrontation, and the CP promotion of the group partners—same-sex marriage registration was only made more permissive in a few experimental locations two years prior. Because same-sex topics are still tightly regulated, "Perfect Partner" avoids highlighting the CP in the same way that a romantic drama would, letting the spectator make their own judgment on how persons of the same and opposite sexes interact.

Hua Jiao was concerned: "If this kind of variety show can invite a few more big names, it will have gimmicks to create hot topics."

Jiang Yixuan: "Avert your eyes from me. I'm too weak to beg for assistance. In addition, hardly many individuals in the circle have healthy relationships because of my temper."

"Look at your bad temper; why can't you change it?" Hua Jiao reprimanded her, letting out a sigh.

Too lazy to give her any attention, Jiang Yixuan "Just dream."

Hua Jiao: "You know who that is, Xie? Has Xie Liyun, after her globe tour, returned home, by the way?

"What do you want to do?" Jiang Yixuan asked, glancing at her.

Hua Jiao replied, "How about inviting your Xie Liyun too?"

"What do you want her to do?" Unconsciously posing the question, Jiang Yixuan continued, "Besides, pay attention to your expression; she is not from my family."

"She's already married, but she's not from your family." Hua Jiao asked, stunned. I'm very glad I hired her. Her tour recently ended. She is well-known and has a large following. How many girls yell at her images, do you know? wife?"

"Who called her wife?" asked Jiang Yixuan.

Hua Jiao said, "..."

What right does this ancestor have to say something so long when all that matters is who wants to take her wife?

Jiang Yixuan, staring at Hua Jiao, cocked her head, saying, "She is not suited to the current online public opinion environment; she is ill, her health is not good, and she cannot withstand the hardships." She is not a good fit for this kind of program."

Despite having known Jiang Yixuan for a long time, Hua Jiao had never witnessed her acting foolishly before. She abruptly had a change of heart and said, "I'm just casually asking, why don't you simply ask? Do you feel sorry for me, She?"

"Who cares about her?!" On the couch was Jiang Yixuan. She sat up straight and shouted out, "Just ask!" at Huajiao's gossipy look.
