Isabella Martini - POV
It's been two days since Arlo told me about what happened with the elders, and he has been trying to get hold of the witches ever since with absolutely no luck. Meanwhile, my spine felt much better as my healing abilities kicked in again, but this sense of nausea hadn't left my system yet. "I made some hummus," Sophia said in a sing-song voice as she walked into my room with a plate in her hand.
The moment the smell reached my nostrils, I felt the bile rise up my throat as I covered my mouth, jumped out of the bed, and ran to the bathroom. I had requested Doctor Tom to change the medicines he had prescribed, but he told me that this is the lowest dose that is available and I would have to take this till my spine gets back to normal.
"Bella!" I heard Sophia call my name as I bent down the toilet bowl and emptied the lunch I had a few hours ago. The acidic taste of vomit made me want to puke again as tears streamed down my cheeks.
