Three weeks later

St Joseph hospital

Thompson recovered fast and the doctor had to discharge him, after testing for infection or complications and finding none, he was also doing his best during his physical therapy to regain his mobility and strength, he had the zeal to recover.

" Mr Thompson Lopez, I must say you are a strong man; your recovery was fast and no complications; do well to stay away from trouble I don't want to see you hear again" The Doctor said to him as he removed the drip and injection from his hands and Thompson nodded..

" You are free to go, you bills has already been paid" The Doctor said as he dropped the drip and injection inside the medical tray, and Thompson looked at him with a confused gaze

" Did My niece pay for my medical bill?" Thompson asked and at that moment Caterina walked in with a bright smile.

" Good morning Uncle, good morning Doc James" Caterina greeted the both of them and they nodded in reply, Caterina sat down on the wooden chair beside Thompson's bed.

" No, the bills were paid by a kind boy, he looks like a high school kid" The Doctor said answering Thompson's question and Caterina looked at the Doctor with a confused expression

" A young boy? Who could that be? Thompson Wondered and Caterina mind went to Aurelio

" Did any young boy come with you that day Catty?" Thompson asked his niece

" I will leave you both to discuss about it and before you go, collect your drugs from you assigned nurse" the doctor said and left the ward, Thompson returned his gaze to Caterina

" Yes, the kind boy that saved me from Patrick"Caterina replied and Thompson nodded his head he gasped, when he suddenly remembered something

" Oh my! I wasn't able to thank the kind man, do you have his number? I would love to thank him, I'm truly grateful" Thompson said and Caterina shook her head negatively and Thompson sighed

" You both attend the same school right? do well to greet him for me when you return back to school and I'm truly sorry for keeping you here, you weren't able to go to school for the two weeks now" Thompson said and Caterina smiled before holding his hands.

" I will do well to thank him, you don't have to worry about me, Rosanna made sure to keep me updated and I'm fully prepared for my upcoming assessment test" Caterina said with a proud smirk and Thompson smiled

" i truly appreciate your kind friend although she is quite scary" Thompson said faking a scared expression and Caterina couldn't help but laugh

"Uncle, you know that she is really a sweet person" Caterina said and Thompson nodded tapping her hands

" I know,i know. Why don't you invite her to our home, you have never done that before" Thompson questioned and she shook her head negatively before sighing sadly.

" I can't uncle, Rosa is a rich child, she lives comfortably, her father is a surgeon and her mom is a renowned chef, I can't just invite her to our unpresentable house" Caterina said and she gasped when she realised her last statement, Thompson just sighed.

" I didn't mean it that way Uncle" Caterina apologised.

" It's okay, I know our home is not good looking, someone that is coming from a rich family and living in a mansion won't feel comfortable in a shallow-looking apartment"Thompson said and Caterina bit her lips.

" Does she know that we are not rich or average?" Thompson asked and she nodded

" She knows that I'm a scholar student and an average kid but she doesn't know about my stealing habit" Caterina said with a sad expression and Thompson sighed

" I hope you sent my greetings to her mom" Thompson said changing the topic

" Yes I did" she replied

"That's good, shall we go home" Thompson said and she smiled brightly before nodding her head

5:00pm

Eliot Mansion

Ryan sat down in the sitting room munching on his popcorn while watching his favourite movie, he legs crossed on the table, popcorn was littered everywhere, the maids stood at the far end of the sitting room watching the young master with displeasure and fear.

Mr Aaron Elliott's sleek white coloured car drove into the compound, the driver parking the car in the garage. His driver got down and quickly opened the door for him, he stepped out with his secretary, she was holding his briefcase and her jotter both in different hands, she hurried up trying to meet up with his pace.

Mr Aaron Elliott's rang the doorbell and one of the maids ran to open the door for them, Ryan was oblivious of his father's presence, he continued watching his movie, Mr Aaron looked at all the mess created by his son and his gaze landed on him, he was watching the TV with no care in the world, Mr Aaron walked angrily to his front, his secretary was standing beside the maids she was watching the both of them awaiting the upcoming drama, she bit her lips anxiously.

Ryan still didn't notice his presence, his mind was solely fixed on the movie he was watching, his attention was brought back to his surroundings when his father broke the television earning a gasp from the maids and the secretary.

" Ryan, what is wrong with you?" Aaron shouted at him and he paid him no attention.

" I'm talking to you, you son of a whore" Aaron shouted anger evident in his voice, Ryan dropped his feet on the ground pouring the remaining popcorn on the ground while looking at his father eyeball to eyeball.

" He is quite daring" Kimberly mumbled to her hearing alone as she slowly bit her lips.

" Are you stupid, you dare disrespect me in front of my servant, how dare you?" Aaron shouted and slapped him across the face, Ryan held his burning cheek and stared at his father with tears in his eyes and that slap from his father removed the courage that suddenly build up in him. He lowered his gaze to the ground.

" Shouldn't you be studying, you have your esame di stato( state exam) coming up next month, you need that to graduate, is this what a fifth-year Student suppose to be doing, watching TV!" Aaron shouted, disappointment laced in his voice, Ryan just bowed his head unable to say a word, he bit his nails nervously

" And don't you ever look me in the eye again, remember your place, a son of a whore born in sin, unplanned and unwanted child, a product of mistake, unfortunately I lost my precious wife with my child, my own real blood died in her womb, I had to buy your wretched mother to bare me a child, what should I expect from a child that has the blood of a whore flowing through his veins" Aaron said with disgust and pain in his voice and Ryan face fell

" Now go upstairs to your room and study, no food for you today". He said his voice now calm and Ryan hesitated before going up to his room

" What are you all low lifes doing there, return back to your chores or quarters and someone please clean up this mess Ryan made" he said with annoyance and they quickly hurried to their quarters and some came to clean the mess.

" Kimberly go to my study and drop my briefcase and my schedule on my desk" He said going to his own room and she hurried to his study.

" I hope Ryan is alright" She mumbled sadly.

Villa Rodriguez

6:00pm

Margherita room

Margherita is Riccardo' s mistress, Riccardo doesn't go around sleeping with ladies he selects his personal bitches and the reason why he chose her amongst all the female soldati was because she knows how to satisfy his sexual urge.

Margherita is a very beautiful lady, with an hourglass figure, she has an oval face, cat eyes and pointed nose, flawless skin and very long chestnut brown hair that reaches her waist.

Due to her position in the clan she is respected and treated like a queen.

Her room was bigger and spacious and almost the same size as Riccardo's room, it has a walk-in wardrobe and the room is beautifully decorated painted white and gold.

She was seated on her king size bed as some maids massage her legs for her with an expensive oil and while pressing her phone, a gentle knock came from the door and she told the maids to open the door which they did, as expected it was her favourite Soldati Alessia, she actually called her to her room. Alessia was her only friend cause none of the soldati likes her they find her rude and pompous. She dismissed the maids and they bowed before leaving. Alessia sat beside her on her bed curious to know why she was summoned..

" Alessia I'm super worried, it's been months now since Riccardo summoned me to his chamber, I think he is losing interest in me, tell me am I not pretty enough?" Margherita asked Alessia and Alessia smiled secretly

" Come on mistress Margherita, you are still very pretty, the boss has really been busy with different mission" Alessia said and tapped margherita's back gently

" I can't help but feel like he doesn't want me anymore". Margherita said and Alessia sighed.

" Don't worry, he will soon summon you should know that not everything is about pleasure, relax alright." Alessia said a fake smile spreading across her face

" Hmm, thank you" Margherita said smiling back at her

" You are.." Alessia was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door

" Mistress Margherita the Don calls for you" a voice said

A smile spread across Margherita's face and Alessia cursed inwardly

" I guess you are right Alessia, I'm still beautiful" Margherita said and Alessia nodded with a fake smile on her face.

" I shouldn't keep the Don waiting" Margherita said as she adjusted her short gown and her hair before exiting the room happily..

"Should be me... why her, Don?" Alessia said, biting her lips sadly as she exited the room

Unknown to her, someone heard her. A figure watched Alessia from the shadows, smiling creepily.
