Kylar: Too Cold

KYLAR

Another night, and no progress with the Prophet's ability to communicate with us.

Admittedly, I haven't spent any time with her. We've been too busy moving at our new snail's pace to a different environment. Somewhere less human and manufactured, with a natural landscape.

It's taken time, but we've escaped the towering structures of the human city, and Nira can see the wild lands on the horizon. Just a few days more, and it should be enough.

But the weather isn't cooperating.

"They'll freeze to death at this rate."

Zane kicks a rock out of his way, scowling at the two humans huddled together. They talk to each other, but stay quiet otherwise. Aside from being weak, they don't cause any trouble.

But every Lycan in the pack is irritated. None of them are allowed to shift, because she's already terrified of us as it is. I can only imagine what seeing us shift into giant wolves would do to her fragile mental state.
