Guy you're trying oo.. I can see my baby is really doing well.. he said and reach to carry the baby from Samuel's back..
Wow.. he allowed me to carry him? He said looking surprised as he began to kìss the baby on his cheek..
Take!.. he said pointing the leather to samuel..
Samuel: what is this?
Henry: check first na.. you never check and you're asking me..
Samuel: hmm no vex sir.. he said and open the leather..
Ice cream? And cake? Who is eating this? Who did you get them for?
Henry: for my son!
Samuel: okay oo..
Henry:hahah.. its for you oo..
Samuel: why are you buying ice cream and cake for me?
Henry: i don't know.. I just said I should get it for you.
Samuel: who told you I take them?
Henry: is there anybody that don't take ice cream and cakes? I mean...

Samuel: should I bring your food here or you eat on the dinning table?

I just made dinner oga sir and included yours too.. not I made you dinner😒

Henry: so what did you cook?
Samuel: semovita and egusi soup..
Henry: wow! This is interesting.. he said as he stood up quickly while holding the baby carefully..
And head to the kitchen..
Inside the kitchen..
Henry quickly open the pot of soup and saw how nice the soup was looking...
Wow.. you made this.. ?
Please dish out for me he said quickly
Samuel: calm down oga.. the food no dey run..
Henry: hahah abeg.. it been long I ate home made food.. I usually buy food..
Samuel took a plate and serve him a very nice quantity of the food..
Henry: take.. he said pointing the baby back to Samuel..
Samuel: collected the baby..
Henry: washed his hands from the kitchen tap.. and quickly took a bite from the meet inside the soup..
Woah! Guy.. omor.. you dey try o
He said as he began to rush the food..
Samuel: oga calm down oo.. the food won't run away..
Henry: allow me eat this food well abeg.. you know I'm travelling tomorrow.. I need this alot..
Samuel: haha ok na..
Some minutes later he was done eating.. then they both left the kitchen..
Henry: thank you for the food.. I owe you something
Samuel: how? For what?
Henry; for the nice food you gave me..
Samuel: you're funny.. you're the owner of the food na.. I just cook it..
Henry: but I can't cook it na.. cooking is stressful
Samuel: its not..
Henry: ok.. maybe you will start teaching me then.. when I come back from the journey..
Samuel: alright!
Henry: I'm serious oo
Samuel: I'm not joking either..
Henry: alright.. let me go inside now
I need to prepare for my journey tomorrow.. and I still have some little work to do..
Samuel: alright no problem.. thanks for the ice cream
Henry: hmmm you said you don't take ice cream .. he said and turned away.. going into his room..

Samuel: he didn't even tell his baby goodnight.. he said as he entered thier own room with the baby..
Immediately he entered the room..his phone rang..
Na only my mama dey call me by this time! He said as he quickly picked his phone and dropped the baby on the bed..
On call..
Samuel: hello mommy..
Mom: my son.. bàwonì ( how are is it?)
Samuel: fine oo.. how is market
Mom: going well o we thank God.
Samuel: ok, lola and Ben nko?
Mom: they are all fine.. how is the work going? Hope no issues?
Samuel: not at all mom.. im fine and healthy.. he's a very nice guy!
Mom: okay.. help me thank him again for what he bought for us oo.. may God bless him..
Samuel: Amen..
Hope everything is fine?
Mom: yes all is fine.. how is the baby?
Samuel: okay..
Mom: so gist me.. what has been going for the past days..
Samuel: days? Hahaha mom na only one day na... no gossip for you today.. Amebo..

Samuel: hahahah...
They continue talking for few more minutes before the call ended..
The following morning..
Scene 2( Henry and Samuel)
Henry: looking all dressed!
Samuel: no be small thing oo..
Henry: what happen?
Samuel; I mean you're looking good bro..
Henry: hahaha thank you!.. i need to dress this way.. so I can look presentable..
Samuel: I see... that nice.. so where is the bag you're going with?
Henry; bag? No o.. I'll buy some t-shirt and jeans when I get there.. I'll be back soon. I'm spending just 2 nights..
Samuel: oh okay.. alright then
Henry: yeah my flight is by 10:45am..
Samuel: okay. Safe flight..
Henry: thank you. Incase you need anything please msg me on WhatsApp ok..
Samuel: alright..
Henry: where is my baby?
Samuel; still sleeping.. we had a long night..
Henry: gossiping about me right?
Samuel: ahahah not again.. we're done with you.. we have better people to gossip about..

Alright let me get going.. the uber that will take me to the airport is waiting for me already.
Samuel: I didn't know that you will be going so early like this i would have made you breakfast.. sorry

Around evening hours.. Samuel was playing with kelvin when a WhatsApp message came in..
Who is sending me messages on WhatsApp? He said as he took his phone..
Then he saw a photo message from Henry..
He opened...
Hmmm why sending me his photos? He momour as he continues to checking the photos..
Then he dropped the phone and continue playing with the baby..
Scene 3( Henry at the hotel he lodged in)
He came out of the bathroom and picked his phone.. then check the WhatsApp..
Didn't he saw my message? Why didn't he reply?
Then he sent another message to Samuel.. hoping to get a response but nothing!
Ahh.. he exclaimed! Why is he not responding to me...
Then he called him directly..
Phone ringing...
Then it ended.. he called again the second time but no response..
He called the third time and Samuel eventually pick up..
Henry: where the hèll did you keep your phone! He shoutéd angrilyy...
Samuel: calm down oga..
Henry: are you ok? How can you tell me to calm down..
Samuel: quickly noticed he was actually angry.
I'm sorry sir.. he responded calmly..
Henry: where did you keep your phone i have been calling you since..
Samuel: sorry sir.. I was helping kelvin in the toilet.. I was changing his diapers
Henry: after hearing that.. he immediately calm down..
Oh... I see.. sorry!
Samuel: its okay sir..
Henry: can you now stop using sir?
Samuel: anything you say that is what I'll do!
Henry: sorry na.. no vex! I'm sorry for shouting and sounding that way bro.. no vex

Henry: ended the call...

He said in his mind as he became remorseful...
Then he called him back again..
Samuel answered immediately..
Samuel: hello? He said calmly
Henry: guy no vex abeg.. I know I was the one that ask you to be free with me and all of sudden I'm doing something against that.. no vex!
Samuel: ahh no please! Its okay I'm not angryy at all..
Henry: are you sure?
Samuel: yes!
Henry: i just wanted to tell you how the whole stuff went and also ask about my son..
Samuel: ok.
Henry: we did the first conference this evening.. the main one is tomorrow morning and afternoon..
Samuel: ok.
Henry: how is kelvin?
Samuel: fine.
Henry: what did you guys eat tonight?
Samuel: rice and potatoes
Henry: ok
Samuel: yeah..
Then they both remain quiet on the phone waiting for the other to talk first.
After about 15 seconds..
Henry: you're quiet?
Samuel: yes!
Henry: hmm. Ok.. Good night
Samuel: okay..
Call ended...
Henry: why am I feeling quilty.. he's still my worker and I have all rights to caution him.. especially when he's doing something wrong..
But he didn't do anything wrong here! I did. But I apologise already..
Hmmm... should I call him again?
No way! Why would I be calling my fellow guys 3 times and apologise for small something.. I'm still the boss here. He said to himself... just to justify his actions..
He watch some videos on his phone for some minutes and decided to sleep but couldn't.. he kept on rolling on the bed.. as he was disturbed by the whole stuff..
The following morning, immediately he woke up.. he pick up his phone and saw a text message from Samuel reading " good morning sir, I'm sorry for yesterday please. I'll try my best to always be with my phone. So I won't miss your call again and you wouldn't have to shout at me. Sorry once again sir.. thank you..
Henry: smiling while reading the message.
Then he called Samuel immediately..
With few seconds of ringing.. Samuel picked up
Henry: good morning bro
Samuel: good morning sir,
Henry: stop the sir! I told you.. to stop ok..
Samuel: okay..
Henry: i saw your text message.. im sorry for my attitude ok! Dont take it to heart and I'm not angryy with you ok!
Samuel: okay...
Henry: how is my son?
Samuel; still sleeping.. he was crying throughout yesterday
Henry: why? What happened to him.. he asked curiously
Samuel: I guess is the teeth..
Henry: oh yeah.. that time has come..
Please take care of him please..
Maybe you should get him drugs
Samuel: yeah I'll do that later.. when shops might have open
Henry: okay thank you! We talk later please i need to dress up..
Samuel: okay!
Call ended...
Around evening hours that same day aftrr he was done with all his meetings..
He quickly picked up his phone and called Samuel..
On call..
Henry: howfer guy?
Samuel: I dey good and you.
Henry: sorry I didn't even bother to call you since.. I have been busy with different meeting not long ago I finished
Samuel: okay
Henry: how is kelvin? Is he still crying?
Samuel: not really.. he's playing now. Since I gave him the drugs..
Henry: ok thank God.. I miss you both..
I mean I have missed him..
Samuel: we miss you too.. what time will you be back tomorrow?
Henry: my flight is tomorrow evening.. I should be at home with you guys by 8pm.. ok..
Samuel: alright safe trip..
Call ended..
Scene 5( samuel and the baby at the living room)
Samuel: kelvin stop that! Stop climbing that place.. you will fall..
He said as he carried him down from where he was standing..
Don't climb there again ok.. he said to him
Then he remembered he was cooking inside the kitchen.. so he rushed to the kitchen..
Kelvin: trying to climb the table.. but he couldn't.. After several trials he eventually climbed the high table.. but his legs was shaking as he wasn't balanced and his legs is closed to edges..
Then Henry suddenly entered.. and saw where the baby was standing.. out of fear he shoutéd Jesussss...
Then shout scàred the little boy.. as he wanted turning around to see where the shout was coming from..
Boom! The baby fell from the table..
Henry threw the stuffs he was holding and quickly rushed to carry the baby who busted into cry.
Samuel: rushed in from the kitchen..
And quickly reach out to collect the baby from Henry.
Henry: where are you before? Where did you go to? What are you doing? Why did you let him play alone? He said while shouting angrilyy at Samuel
Samuel: I'm sorry.. I was in the kitchen..
Henry: kitchen? What are you doing in the kitchen? Is your work in the kitchen? Did I employ you to work in the kitchen? Your work here is kelvin! Kelvin alone.. he said shoutiñg so loud..
Samuel: began to sweat immediately.. while looking at the baby crying..
Please just give him to me.. let me press his hèad.. incase its swollen..
Henry: don't touch my son! I can't trust you with my son again.. he said as he carried the boy into his room..
Samuel: tried following him..
The baby still crying and looking at Samuel so he can carry him ..
Henry noticed the baby was crying and still wanted to go to Samuel..
Then he angrilyy gave the baby to Samuel.. then left for his room..
Samuel: shu shu shu shu shout... trying to calm the baby and stop him from crying... don't cry again ok..
Sorry fine baby.. okay.. I left you alone right? I'm sorry ok.. he said continuously as the baby continues to cry..
Then he began to massage the baby's head.. trying to suppress the future pain..
The baby increased the cry.. and Henry came out of the room angrilyy again..
Give him to me.. let me take him to the hospital..
Samuel: you don't need to take him to the hospital.. no need
Henry: who are you to tell me what to do? He said angrilyy again.. as he collected the baby from Samuel's hand..
After doing that the baby was still trying to go back to Samuel's hand.
But Henry took him angrilyy.. and drove out of the house to the hospital
Immediately he left.. Samuel exhaled heavily and sat on the couch..
Few minutes later he began to hear a weird smell and he suddenly remembered he was cooking in the kitchen..
He ran to the kitchen and met the food burnt.. he angrilyy turn off the gas..
About an hour later.. Henry came back with the baby.. and met Samuel sitting at the living while he rested his head on the couch..
Then Samuel stood up immediately.. without saying anything and looking exhausted..
Henry: take him inside.. he's sleeping already.. he said while looking so angryy and couldn't look at Samuel in the eye..
Samuel: collected the baby and was about going..
Henry: please let this be the last time you will neglect that boy the way you did today.. imagine if i wasn't there.
Leave the kitchen alone.. if that is what is taking your attention away from him.. please stop it.. I'm begging you! I'll order the food we eat everyday day henceforth.. do the work i brought you here for..
Samuel: put his head down and couldn't say anything... while blinking his eyes slowly.. and some tears almost 😢 coming out..
Henry: I'm talking to you! Look at me when I'm talking to you!
Samuel: raised his head slowly..
Henry: hope you get all what I'm saying..
Samuel: yes sir..
Henry: walked away leaving him there...
Samuel: calmly walked to his room and dropped the baby..
Then went back to kitchen to wash and clean all the mèss there.. he was feeling hungry but couldn't eat..
After he was done he went back to the room..
Around midnight hours.. the baby began to cry.. Samuel woke and started petting him and trying to make him sleep but it wouldn't work..
Henry from his room heard the baby crying and quickly left his room to check what was going on..
He stood at the door listening to everything..
Inside the room..
Samuel: sorry na.. why are you crying so well tonight? Is your head still paining you? Eeh.. sorry my love.. its my fault ok.. don't cry again.. you hear? You want to watch cartoon? Or will you take milk? He said whike trying several methods to make the crying baby calm..
Henry was outside listening to him..
Samuel: sorry na... ahh! Kelvin! Stop crying ok.. I said I'm sorry.. I allow you hìt your head on the ground right? Its fault ok.. sorry you here.. sorry! Stop crying ok.. he said while dancing around with the baby..
Henry: left for his room ...
And came back after some time and the baby was still crying...
He stood at the door again and heard how Samuel was trying to calm him down. Then he checked the time and saw 4am...
Hmmm...
Boom! Samuel opened the door and met Henry at the door..
Henry: oh.. I was just walking around..
Good night! Bye! He said hurriedly and left..
Samuel: gave a weak sigh... and continue staring at Henry as he walks away...
