Chen stood tall in the middle of the smoke-filled room, his eyes remaining sharp despite his mind racing to find a way out. Yura stood by his side, alert to every movement of the remaining enemies.
"We have to go now," Yura whispered to Chen, whose body trembled with fear.
Chen nodded, but their steps halted when the sound of footsteps echoed in the hallway. From the fading shadows caused by the smoke, a figure in a military uniform emerged, his face calm yet full of authority. A tall man with silver hair and piercing eyes stood before them.
"Chen, Yura," his deep, commanding voice called out. "It seems you're in trouble."
Chen narrowed his eyes, recognizing the man. "General Kai. What are you doing here?"
Kai stepped forward, his hands clasped behind his back. "I came to make sure that document doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. And it seems Wei Long isn’t the only threat you should be worried about."
Chen exhaled sharply. "So, you want the document too?"
