Liar's Guilt and the Sentient Power

I skimmed through the piles of documents scattered on the floor of my workshop. The Queen had provided me with a larger space to fulfill my part of our deal.

I sat with crossed legs; none of these papers mentioned any sighting of my prototype orb. I must find it soon. Elara needs it.

This is my only way to make amends for keeping secrets from her.

It must be returned to my hands before someone else could find it and discover its power. Elara would be in great danger if it falls into the hands of those who covet the greatest authority.

Ion had been nagging me right after I informed him of my intention to seek the Legendary Creatures. Although he tried to talk me out of my plan, he eventually accepted my decision. Ion packed my travel bag himself, as if he were kicking me out. I laughed and thanked him. The next day, I set out to leave before the sun began to peek over the horizon. Before I departed, Ion assured me he would look after everything while I was away.
