A Calm Sea

As the birds outside the tavern sang their morning hymns, I shuffled to my favorite spot by the warm hearth in my tavern. A large crowd had already filled the space, but I found it pleasing. Of course, who would not be pleased with stable income? But that wasn't the sole reason. These unfamiliar faces began taking their time to get to know me after I was officially introduced by Alpheratz and Levi. I felt nervous the first time that I was greeted by a tavern full of them, even more as my tavern's interior space seemed to have expanded. Alpheratz confessed that it was his doing. In that regard, he also took the liberty to add more bedrooms for the patrons to rent.

Beside my seat, I felt the careful movement of another seat. I shot a glance at its direction and saw Alpheratz, followed by Lyra, Pyrrhos, Ion, and Levi. I waited for them to settle down, curiosity filling my insides as I watched them.

Alpheratz smiled. “Good morning."
