THE SILENT DISTANCE

When Leo stepped into the gym area, the room seemed to shift, or at least it did for Ari. She noticed him immediately, the moment he entered, shirtless and glistening with confidence. A wave of regret washed over her. She wished she hadn’t decided to stay and continue her exercises after bumping into him earlier. It would have been easier to leave, to escape the inevitable tension that followed him. But it was too late now; she was stuck here, and so was he.

Leo’s presence dominated the room. His eyes locked onto her, and he didn’t look away. Even as he started his workout, lifting weights with practiced ease, his gaze remained fixed on her. It was intense, unrelenting, and it made her skin crawl with discomfort. Ari tried to ignore him, focusing on her exercises with renewed determination, but it was no use. She could feel his eyes on her, tracking her every move, and it was driving her crazy.
