TO HELL WITH HIM

Ari walked away from Leo, her steps purposeful and quick, anger coursing through her veins. She didn’t look back, didn’t give him a second glance as she made her way through the gym, each step distancing her from the hurtful words he had just spoken. She found Mia in the corner of the gym, still in the middle of her workout. Without waiting for her sister to finish, Ari interrupted, her voice tight with barely restrained anger.

“Mia, I’m done. I want to go home.”

Mia looked up, surprised by the abruptness in her sister’s tone. It wasn’t like Ari to cut her exercise routine short, and certainly not with this kind of attitude. There was hardness in her eyes, something Mia hadn’t seen in a long time, if ever. She quickly nodded, understanding that something was seriously wrong. “Alright, give me a second.”
