A Corpse as Blue as Lapis Lazuli - Chapter 3

David and I had taken to the streets, the sun looked like it was getting ready to set as shadows appeared elongated, and many faces behind plated windows seemed happy, some whistling Chinese melodies, it was almost time for them to return home to their wives and families, or if their single, solitude and whatever Chinese people eat instead of microwave dinners.

I was fortunate enough to find an ice cream parlour on our little walk outside the museum, I always think better when consuming the stuff, I know, it is rather ironic considering that brain freezes are a thing that exist and as a result they lay in counter of thoughtful moments.

Maybe it would have been better to stop into one of the many oriental markets or restaurants to get a fresh spring roll (what? It’s Spring in China, I’m allowed to make at least one ‘spring roll’ joke.) but I always chose ice cream.
