A Corpse as Blue as Lapis Lazuli - Chapter 15

Zhanjiang port, Xiashan District, Zhanjiang, China, 524001, 4:25PM

The storm clouds that gathered earlier in the day to create the atmosphere of a horror film were now creating a deluge. David opened his umbrella, creating a personal bubble for us to take cover within. This wasn’t cats and dogs rain, it seemed worse than that, if it weren’t for the calm winds, I’d say this was a typhoon or other weather event that came with enough rain to flood a small valley.

The gangway for the Long Xing was still lowered. Wei and Bo were still guarding it.

They both breathed a sigh of relief as they saw us.

“Are you David Lancer and Lucinda Star?” Bo inquired.

“That’s us.” David informed.

“Finally!” Wei announced. “We were getting ready to leave, we were starting to think that you wouldn’t show up. The Father and The Mother have been waiting for you, they are waiting in the bowels of the boat, so hurry along.”

“Actually, we would like to speak with Xiao Fang.” I relayed.
