A Corpse as Blue as Lapis Lazuli - Chapter 13

After walking around the city for hours waiting for Mr Jiu to contact us. It was around 3 PM when we decided to sit down. I had an ice cream, like usual. David was smoking a magical cigarette, also like usual.

“Still nothing.” David noted.

“Maybe we should head back to the Zhongnanhai and ask about the penknife.” I suggested.

“Maybe, it sounds like an idea, however, it may also not pan out well.”

“Why is that?”

“Well, what if there is a storage where anyone could get said knife without notice, and why would they have surveillance for the penknives anyway when people expect others to use them only to open letters?”

“That’s a good point.”

“So, I think that it will be for the best just to wait.”

“Can’t we do something while we wait?”

“Oh? And what do you suggest, Lucy?”
