A Corpse as Blue as Lapis Lazuli - Chapter 18

Allow me to make things simple by providing a list of things we wanted to add to our inventory for ammunition against our target. For each, I’ll put the item and the reason why we need this item.

A recorder

The reason we needed one was to record a portal’s sound, you would know why using our FORMAL recorders for this would be meaningless if you read through the prior chapter.

Rope from Beijing

Liu Ming indicated that the rope that was used to bind the victim came from his yacht. Ming would have purchased said rope near his home port, we’d need samples unique to that area to test against the wounds on Joel’s body. The examiner did remark that no samples he had on hand matched the unique marks on Joel’s arms, meaning that no rope made or sold in Zhanjiang could have made said marks. It would also be best if we got the rope from the yacht itself as this way, we’d have the right rope without having to go through who knows how many samples.
