The entire place started to vibrate.
From beneath the deep trench slowly rose hot lava and tiny flying creatures that's on fire (lava moths)
"Uhm…" Darius said "I think we need to move, like…right now!".
"Yeah,okay…good idea" Blaze answered.
Some players with flight ability though they could easily fly across, but boy was they wrong.
Their ability were locked which meant they'd have to play without flying.
Blaze, Darius and other players hopped on the floating rocks leaping from one to another while battling with the lava moths which wasn't hurting them .
So they're safe?…they wished.
The lava moths were trying to push them into the rising lava beneath them.
A random player successfully managed to make a K.O of one of the flaming tiny creatures and gained a little experience points and all the loot left behind by the lava moths fell into the lava.
As if to taunt players, the loot neither burnt nor sunk. It remained afloat on the lava beneath.
Although the lava moths were very small, they bore great and rare drops/loot.
But, those they couldn't have.
The more they progressed, the more gap there was between the rocks.
Slowly they progressed towards the other end but by then countless players were either pushed off the floating rocks or they weren't able to make the jump.
They decreased from less than a hundred to less than seventy.
The lava was now inches away from them a the lava moths were still persistent.
Striving until they made it to the end was now their utmost priority.
Soon, the remaining survivors made it to the end.
But it didn't stop there…the lava despite reaching the floating rocks didn't stop. It started flowing towards them.
"We need to move…now!" Blaze said and Darius agreed.
The surviving players immediately dashed into the dark tunnel while watching out for any incoming surprises.
Getting to a place, although the lava still continues to flow, the countdown timer reappears.
They were then warned to follow the blue dots trail which was placed in a line and find the door before it closes.
Wasting no more time, Blaze and Darius along with other players rushed, following the trail to whatever door was stated in the mission board.
They followed till they got to a two way spot.
The blue dot trail was divided in two.
One turning to a dark tunnel leading downwards and the other to a dimly lit tunnel leading upwards.
They were now in a dilemma.
Upon sighting the fast approaching lava, players scattered in both directions.
Unfortunately, Blaze and Darius both went different directions.
Blaze tread down the dark tunnel while Darius took the dimly lit tunnel.
Blaze followed the blue trail alongside another player thinking it was Darius until they found the door which was halfway closed.
The door was made of a flat yet thick rock and was moving downwards.
Entering was now the main aim.
The door was almost closed and Blaze tried to get there on time.
As the door was slowly sealing shut, Blaze slides underneath it along with other players hoping for a chance at getting in before the lava which was getting too fast catches up with them.
The door fully sealed, shutting off the lava on the other side.
"Now what?" Blaze asked but didn't get a response.
He called out "Darius?,hey buddy" and when he got close to the player he mistook for Darius, he discovered that it wasn't Darius.
"Darius, come in,do you hear me?!" He tried contacting Darius but failed.
"Hey,hello?, Darius…you there?" He tried several times but the connection seemed off.
After several attempts to contact Darius, he gave up. After all he needn't depend on Darius to play.
When he switched the camera view of the game, the sight he saw was mesmerizing. There were tall trees, lush green grasses beautiful flowers and chirping of birds.
It was as though they somehow crossed through a magic door.
The sun was bright and the sky as clear as day.
He was then feeling confused because they made it but the timer still remained 12minutes before it ends.
Feeling conflicted, the chat box began exploding with comments.
"Can anyone tell me what is with the timer?"
"Seth, you there?" (A random player who was in the same predicament as Blaze)
"What are we to do now"
"I think we should continue to move as instructed in the earlier notification".
Players started to move as though they were a flock of sheep and Blaze was amongst this flock.
They didn't know what would happen so they decided to stay together.
It was as though the further the moved, the darker it gets.
Suddenly, a ring which indicates the end of countdown was heard and a notification pops up on the screen.
Blaze read: "Congratulations to every player who successfully got to the door in time and for those who couldn't,fare well!. A new update has been issued. The dungeon of death is divided into four substages."
"Okay" Blaze thought, feeling sceptical as he read: "1. Fire trial."
"2. Earth trial"
"and the other two, try to decipher"
"Your loving 'Not your concern' ".
" Loving my butt, this Not your concern is anything but loving!!" Blaze said in frustration scaring sleeping Blake who rushed off his lap.
Blaze was looking at the frightened Blake, so he didn't notice that his game had a short glitch as soon as Blake opened its eyes out of fright.
By the time he looked at the screen, everything was back to normal as if nothing had happened.
The notification cleared as he clicked anywhere on the screen.
Suddenly, the sun was replaced by a red moon and the sky was as dark as a starless night.
The trees began to sway and whisper due to the heavy wind, the grasses, withdrew into the ground which began quaking drastically, causing the display on the screen to look terrifying.
The mist got thicker and thicker and suddenly, a large rock appeared out of nowhere crushing two players beside Blaze…
