General Del gave Love a fleeting glance before exiting the meeting room, her hazel eyes regarding her with curiosity, as Love stared back coldly. The strategy meeting was over and the team would once again begin a gruelling daily program ahead of the raid in seven days time.

Throughout the first half of that week Ezra continued to visit Love intermittently as they exchanged information, he didn't touch her again, once again keeping a firm distance between them.

On the third day Love had finally been able to hide a small vial of the blue serum.

She had been hoping to take a sample of the red vial, but these appeared to be used in emergency situations only due to its drawback of causing significantly increased fatigue and hunger, and so only the easily ingestible samples were used in their training scenarios.
